Added 2020-01-20 18:01:03 +0000 UTCNot much to say about this one. To tell the truth, I haven't read a lot of Kamala Khan. Mostly clips and previews online and a few bits of her crossing over with other characters like Squirrel Girl. She seems like a lot of fun, though, so I'd really like to get to her eventually.
On a more personal note, I think this drawing has finally convinced me to try selling mini-prints at cons. For my full size 11x17 prints, I usually try to make a whole scene out of it, something that tells a story or makes a joke or even just express a feeling. These mini-prints will be more along the lines of simple, cool images of popular characters. I've been noticing a growing trend at cons of more and more artist offering simple prints, often just basic headshots, of dozens upon dozens of characters, going for more of a widespread approach, and I've been kinda wanting to find a way to compete with that. (Or, I should say, get in on that action. I don't really see it as "competing", per se.) And with convention season starting for me here in just a couple months, I'm going to see if I can't build up a small catalogue of characters and test the waters a bit.
