Hope y'all have checked out the alternate ending, as apparently it will be crucial to the eventual sequel: " 'I Am Legend 2' is in development, with Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan confirmed to star, and the sequel will follow the alternate ending of the first film where Robert Neville survives."

I think this is the only movie I truly enjoyed starring Will Smith. For me the most clever scene was when the mannequin appeared to have moved on the street. That scene served two purposes, the mannequin moving was really Will Smith's POV because it didn't move, and when the Vampire/Zombies trapped him the same way he captured the female Vampire/Zombie it showed there was still a high degree of intelligence within their clan.

When the vaccine for Covid came out to market I typed out I am covid Lol I sometimes feel like if you watched spoiler alert I am legend haha if you think about the story it’s a fake “cure for cancer “ that made . Everyone sick basically . The future in real life except from a “cure for covid”

I feel like this version removed the humanity from the dark seekers, when there is a much better movie on the cutting room floor.

The OMEGA MAN with Charles Heston by the prolific writer Richard Matheson who wrote I Am Legend not this which is being shown. These followers should just go do there own thang then attaching themselves to a brilliant author. Omega Man is not only a thriller but during this chaos a relationship between a White Man and Black Woman occurs and the elite still in control while vampires run amok. Normal food and delicacies are like Gold. If this film was in B&W it would fall off a cliff because of the Video Game crowd. Strange, those who studied film 65% of the films used were black & white. I guess those who couldn't handle B&W films (lol) became dropouts of these studies.

Thanks Asia and BJ !!! I remember seeing the movie The Omega Man many times when I was a kid and when this movie came out I was wondering if they based it on that movie. Turns out that wasn’t the case yo. So I threw in a bit of trivia below: The Ωmega Man(1971) starring Charlton Heston was based on the 1954 novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. The Omega Man is the second adaptation of Matheson's novel. The first was The Last Man on Earth (1964), which starred Vincent Price. The third adaptation, I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, was released in 2007. Thanks again. Can’t wait to watch. ☮️💙🧟‍♂️

Great film. I prefer the alternative ending. The other two film adaptions are also decent, The Omega Man (1971) and The Last Man on Earth (1964). The Simpson's Halloween Special episode The Homega Man is really funny. Gotta love some Far Side and Gary Larson.
