2024-01-01 04:04:20 +0000 UTCI'm right there with you as well. When I saw my brother at Christmas, he described it perfectly in my opinion. Will Ferrell just plays 'man babies' in his movies. I had a similar experience with Dumb and Dumber. SO many people told me it was the funniest thing they had ever seen, so a friend and I rented it from Blockbuster and when those funny scenes were happening, I just looked at my friend and we were like "this is stupid, it's not funny at all. I just didn't get the appeal. Sorry to those who love these movies.

2023-12-30 22:30:43 +0000 UTCI am soooo with you on this. I honestly do not get the popularity and hype of this film. Like you, I’m not a big Will Farrell fan at all. Every time I try and give this film a chance, my concentration starts trailing off midway through the film and then I end up changing the channel. I once read years ago that Will Farrell was one of the highest paid actors of the time but his movies didn’t bring in much profit. My parents and my husband do not care for this film and avoid it like the plague. Lol. But it would be a boring world if all of our tastes were the same.

One of my favorite people in this was Zooey Deschanel and her singing which you should check out with Jim Carrey in the hilarious film "Yes, Man." She's also the lead singer and songwriter in the band, "She and Him" which is also REALLY good (I'd recommend their song, "I've Got Your Number, Son" either on your own or for your music channel).
