The Autopsy of Jane Doe & Terrifier

PVaughn

They should really just go with Evil Dead 2 instead of both. The first one is a masterpiece of low budget, but the second is the same movie, with a little more money. It’s unlikely they’d do them both, so might as well do the second. It’s also the one that leads into Army of Darkness.

Michael King

Sredna

Yay! My favorite holiday brings my favorite genre along with it ~ I have a few suggestions from the late 2010s when horror was undergoing an indie resurgence. Get Out (2017) 98% on Rotten Tomatoes It Follows (2014) 95% Hush (2016) 93% Us (2019) 93% The Endless (2017) 92% Hereditary (2018) 90% Color Out Of Space (2019) 86% Midsommar (2019) 83% A Quiet Place (2018) 82% The Void (2016) 78% I also have four horror TV mini-series to recommend, all from the same writer/director, Mike Flanagan: The Haunting of Hill House (2018) 93% on Rotten Tomatoes The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020) 88% Midnight Mass (2021) 87% The Midnight Club (2022) 86%

StrayConfusion

Oh that's a great one!

L B

Yeah, he's my favorite author (even went out to meet him at some fan events), but I think Candyman is the most effective cinematic translation of his work. I also think only choosing one film in a comment gives it more weight and probably makes it easier for them to sort.

Jimmie V

Would love for y’all to see Black Christmas (1974), The Lost Boys, The Craft, and Terrifier. Either way I can’t wait for the month of October! 🎃👍🏽

Hopelori23

Seconding the Mummy. Well, all three really.

Ginger

The Lighthouse goes hard

Janitor

Yes! Definitely want to see more reactors do this one. It's a very well told thriller.

Renee S

An American Werewolf in London (1981) This film has the best werewolf transformation. So much so, it won an Academy Award.

Stevie Sandoval

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and/or Return Of The Living Dead! You'll laugh, you'll cry....You'll fall in love all over again!

Em Gomez

Dawn of the Dead (2004). History: My (now) husband took me out for a nice Valentine's Day dinner/movie and didn't tell me which movie we were seeing. It was this one. The one that, later that night, made me sit up straight in bed shrieking "ZOMBIES! ZOMBIIIEESS!" because the door was creaking open. It was not actually zombies, rather our cats. But this movie scared the crap outta me. Highly recommended. Another recommendation is Shaun of the Dead, which of course is a comedy/satire but still has some great jump scare moments.

Andi Szilagyi

I'd love to see you do "The Monster" (2016) or Splinter (2008) tho they are a bit more obscure. I can only dream ok.

Rue Surnameunimportant

Village of the Damned the 1995 version. Really good 😊

Elizabitty213

Didn't want you to think I forgot you!!! Nevahhhhh

Heather

Then do Sinister. I promise these are two great scary movies.

Cody Jado

So excited!! If you all want to do some horror comedy, I suggest Zombieland, Shawn of the Dead, and The Mummy (90s).

L B

I wholeheartedly concur you should watch Tucker and Dale vs Evil, which is currently available on Amazon Prime. I won't even tell you why you'll love it... just know it's been on our Halloween Must Watch list since we first watched it over six years ago. For scares that truly stayed with me, I too can vouch for The Babadook, but also the Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House. It has a pretty big mind-melting twist that isn't even the scariest thing about it but I'd LOVE to see your reaction to it. TBH, I probably wouldn't even watch it again if you didn't watch with, because it's that's scary to me. My daughter-in-law recommends The Haunting of Bly Manor, which is from the same filmmakers. It is not as scary as Hill House, but it's a creepy, beautiful story you can use as a palate cleanser. Lots to react to in this series. (The same filmmaker uses the same actors to tell these different stories, and will be coming out with Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher in October.) For a past/present comparison like old school IT vs New It, I recommend Fright Night. The old one is 80s cheesy fun, but the new one is *terrifying* thanks mostly to Colin Farrell. And you can't go wrong with the Lost Boys, an 80s treasure.

Ginger

Evil Dead! (2013 or the original)

Ari

Christine Ghost Ship 1408 Amityville Horror Carrie Sleepy Hollow Leprachaun Lost Boys(fantasy horror) Thir13en Ghosts When A Stranger Calls(Thriller) Sinister Wolf Creek

Darth Brooks

Sinister Insidious Omen Saw

Emme

Salem’s Lot scared the crap out of me as a kid!!! Have you seen the prequel on Starz? It was a series starting Adrian Brody..it was so good!

Mary Merry Berry

Amber Darko

I love the clip you made!! I am so psyched for Horror October! I’m not sure if we are supposed to post our picks but everyone else is so here are mine (trying to pick ones not seen already) Dr Sleep (sequel to the Shining), Jesper’s Creepers 2, The Omen…just watching a YouTube about all the creepy stuff that happened on that movie set will scare you! The Others, Penny Dreadful Series, A Quiet Place, Bram Stoker’s Dracula (the one with Winona Ryder from Stranger Things), Poltergeist 2 (that old man still scares me to death)! Cabin in the Woods (one of the best for comedy/horror) or start seasons of American Horror Story, also Vacancy, and Identity …plus I’m another October Scorpio baby so this “scary Mary” loves a horror reaction! 😂👻

Mary Merry Berry

Devil's Advocate 8. The Craft 1996 version 9. The Cell 10. Serial Mom 11. Anaconda 12. Last, but certainly not least: The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
