Hey Eve - I deeply enjoy your spicier side, and even more so your cuddly side. Choose your own adventure! ;-) Many men feel as though they need to be in control, and feel they are responsible, especially for those they love – and even more especially, for their woman. And, I’ve found, that despite our well-intentioned efforts, most men often fall short of that goal. Not due to lack of sincerity, but because life and our emotions gets in our way. In my experience, too many men are afraid to admit they don’t know how to help those they love. They want to, but don’t know how. And, in those dissonate moments, torn between our feelings and our goals, most men tend to F’ck it up. We say and do things we don’t mean, from a knee-jerk bravado reaction that we learned early in life. When I’ve been on those moments, all I really needed was to hear my girl express her understanding and compassion – sincerely, and with clear confirmation that she gets me, warts and all, and loves me anyway. Maybe even loves me, because of those shortcomings. My perceived shortcomings. Being human sucks, but it’s easier with people – people who like you anyway.
