I love their relationship, Aizawa always had so much faith in Bakugou, and he had so much impact on Bakugou's development. I feel like their bond is similar to what All Might and Deku have, Idk mb it's just me. But I bet for Aizawa it was so hard to be there but not being able to do anything. Feeling so powerless and guilty for not being able to protect his precious students. I felt it. And his face when he realized it's too late literally broke my heart

2024-10-07 17:03:20 +0000 UTCThe realization I had that Bakugo was muttering the fight patterns under his breath like Deku used to, made me feel like I was gonna cry more than his heart stopping. Bakugo and Deku truly are opposite sides of the same coin and their arcs mirror each other. Deku starts off as a kid who knows he’s weak and can’t do much but wants to be a hero more than anything so he studies heroes religiously and his body moves even before he realizes to help. Then he starts training to get stronger despite the immense pain and learns to master his quirk(s) while simultaneously gaining the confidence and realizes he has the same desire to win as Bakugo. He constantly sacrifices his body and mind to save everyone. On the other hand Bakugo starts off with that confidence and desire to win. He beats up bullies much older than him and is the strongest child his age. He’s incredibly proficient in his quirk, but when he sees someone who he feels is beneath him (but simultaneously jealous of his heroism), getting stronger and winning, blames himself for destroying his hero, and eventually loses (not getting his license), he realizes how weak he is. He trains his quirk and most of all learns to be vulnerable and eventually gets to a point where his body moves on its own and in the end studies a much stronger opponent to anticipate his attacks (a swing with his right arm same as Bakugo and Deku’s first fight) and sacrifices his body to deal damage. Both of these characters are so similar in so many ways but they express themselves differently due to the difference in their upbringing. Had Deku been born with a quirk and Bakugo quirkless, I doubt their dynamic would have been exactly the same bully dynamic but Deku could’ve grown up with an confidence or arrogant personality and Bakugo could have been more humble but resentful of Deku and they could have had similar arcs in reverse. But ultimately they both have a drive to fight and win to protect those around them and be the best heroes possible even if they destroy themselves in the process. That’s also why you need characters like Uraraka and Hawks, who in their own way are striving for a world in which zealots like All Might, Bakugo, and Deku have people to protect them and a society that doesn’t require them to sacrifice themselves. That’s my favorite theme from the whole story.

Additionally, I love that when they showed Aizawa after Bakugo died, that his hands were in his scarf, so ready to go to him, but knowing that he couldn't because he's helping Monoma with erasure. He’s also talked about Jjk manga stuff in other videos so I bet he’s gotten spoiled on that show too. I get it tho, his job relies on him reacting to moments even if he knows what’ll happen, the only real solution is just staying off twitter or getting anime out of the feed
