"No, really. It's something I have to do. It's just…it was helpful to hear your voice," I confess.
"Then I would speak for eternity if you asked it of me," he/she replies in a husky tone that sets every inch of me alight with happiness.
"Awww," another voice interrupts. "You two are adorable."
"Farah/Felix?" I ask, taking my phone away to glance at it before bringing it back to my ear.
"Hey, [Name]," Farah/Felix replies with a casual tone.
Nate/Nat clears his/her throat. "This is a private conversation."
"Then maybe you shouldn't have hooked your phone up to the warehouse's Bluetooth speakers," Farah/Felix suggests through a scoffed breath.
I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.
"Oh dear…," Nate/Nat moans. "I should—"
"Yeah. I better get going as well," I finish. "See you later."
"You too."
I end the call, as it might take Nate/Nat another few minutes to figure out how.
