2023-11-15 20:51:12 +0000 UTCSo the show kinda does a crap job explaining the difference between clones and shadow clones. Normal clones are like a projected image that aren't physical. They were a part of the graduation exam. The shadow clone is what Naruto learned off that forbidden scroll. They are like fully physical copies of Naruto. They pop when they are released. This isn't really a spoiler, but you will see they sometimes last longer or can take more damage than other times. Like sometimes they pop on a punch and other times they can get hit a few times. I think Naruto is like releasing them (poufing) them when he's too tired/hurt to keep that one alive.
