Oda knows what he's doing. He already knew how Yokozuna learned the front crawl when he first introduced him. It's not like he started writing the flashback and remembered out of the blue "oh there was a random frog that I only recently introduced."

Who knew you'd ever have an 'aha' moment over random shit like a frog doing the front crawl, a detail pointed out when we first got here. It does a great job of making you want all the details tho, to see how much things have changed/affected the characters. So many interesting characters getting tied together by different circumstances-- it's why I love the series on top of everything else.
