Everyone, besides Gon, knows that they are completely outmatch by the Royal Guards. The Guards are like level 85 while the Hunters are like level 25. MAJOR power difference there. The one advantage the Hunters have over the Guards is they have more fighting experience. That's the main reason why Shoot didn't get killed right away by Youpi.
