Sticks & Scones & Scripts & Scenes

Good news and Meh News. Deja vu?? The Good News is that I've finished the cover of Check, Please!: Sticks & Scones. This time around, you'd think it'd be easy to draw Bitty beckoning a reader into an exciting pie-filled adventure and to fill a cover with interesting story cues and narrative hints. You would think that! But this time around, it was so much harder. I dunno, I felt the pressure....I got in my head...I kept imagining the book in stores...the worst case scenarios! What if I screwed this up???

So the Good News is that I finished the cover (and I think it looks quite nice!), but the Meh News is, that I can't show it you guys yet. o)-<  But it's done, and fun--I promise. Here are some bits that I can show???

Other Progress. Lots of writing. ;-;

4.16 - Christmas In Madison. (Written and Drawn!)
4.17 - Senior Thesis. I love balancing out dramatic or sentimental comics with GOOFY SHENANIGANS. This is Eric Bittle at his absolute worst. It takes a village to graduate from college.
4.18 - ??? - Ahhh, I'm excited about this comic as well! It's a lot of set up for the last part of Spring semester, but it's a fun framing device. (An interview??)
R&H - ??? We are so overdue.

Snowstorm

Dex: there's a snow storm so the dining halls are closed and so are most restaurants. Bitty is at Jack's and didn't do any grocery shopping. With what we have in the Haus I predict we'll be out of food...by tomorrow night.
Tango: WE'RE GONNA STARVE
Tango: (starts eating chair)
Louis: hey! you're hogging all the chair
Louis: (also starts gnawing on chair)
Dex:
Dex: all right

Snowstorm Part Two

Chowder: I saved these promotional Sharks fruit snacks from a game I went to
Chowder: I have 3 packs. Now, between all of us, we can make that last for a week
Chowder: (puts a gummy in everyone's hand)
Chowder: Okay guess what we're having for dessert

A Song

Louis: I wrote a song for each of you
Louis: Dex, for you, I started off with some construction sounds. (hammer tapping plays) and then you sigh a lot so that's the backing track (grousing plays) OH this is where it gets funky, you told Nursey to shut up on the bus, and I sampled that--(SHUTUP NURSEY SH-SH-SHUTUP NURSEY, SH-SH-SHU SHU SHU SHU SHU--)
