Added 2021-08-24 16:01:03 +0000 UTCI tried not to stereotype Grandpa, but please yell at me if I do so; originally I wrote Esh as mixed heritage because I wanted to include more spiritual references in dialogue and reference a variety of cultures, but I realized I was in over my head trying to pull it all together and also, as a white person, probably tromping around in stuff that wasn't my business. But I really liked the version of his father so I kept his Native/Indian ancestry. Trying to handle it carefully without being appropriative~

2021-08-24 19:02:44 +0000 UTCI feel like caucasian progressive creators are kinda torn between providing more inclusion and diversity in their work versus appropriating other cultures and damn is it a fine line. I am glad you are cognizant of it and are trying to be respectful. As another white person I have no say on if itβs ok or not but I appreciate this story not being white washed either for what itβs worth.
