Yeah, I have always thought that too, i think theres even a few videos on yt which portray Lagertha as Visenya lol. But i think they are doing Aegon's Conquest but animated (like Lord of The Rings)

And yes you were right it was his wife, the one we couldn't stand at first but kind of grew to love, She is the mother to Edward and Aethelflaed not Alfred remember (She is called Elsewith in Vikings but Aelswith in TLK. (both pronounced the same just different spellings of the same name )The Last Kingdom uses an Old English spelling whereas Vikings uses a different variation i believe like a slightly later version idk, but both aren't the same spelling as the real life woman, Ealhswith π) But spelling aside, it is nice to see what she would have been like when she was younger and first met Alfred.

2025-05-06 18:49:34 +0000 UTCIf GOT ever did a series on Aegon the Conqueror, and his 2 sisters/wives took the Seven Kingdoms; I think Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha) would play a good Visenya. She was the warrior sister who was orginal rider to Vhagar and wielder of Dark Sister (Daemon's sword)
