The "Is Yuno a tomboy?" was a matter of confusing/ambiguous translations. The word he actually said was "Bokukko" a girl that uses the pronoun "boku" to refer to herself. In Japanese you have multiple ways to say "I" some are completely gender neutral, some are typically masculine and some are typically feminine some are formal some are informal. "Boku" is typically masculine pronoun, usually used by boys and young men, that's neither too formal nor too informal, but at least in anime certain types of girls use it too, usually the more boyish and energetic ones. So Bokukko doesn't really translate to tomboy, it just means "a girl that uses boku", and a Bokukko isn't necessarily a tomboy, but tomboy is probably the easiest way to translate it without needing the viewer to have any kind understanding about Japanese pronouns and anime archetypes.
