He knows Barristan could back up his words, Barristan being one of the few men who could go toe to toe with Jaime. Give the old knight his youth and prime back and we'd see the greatest battle in the universe! Unless Barristan and Jaime team up against Ser Arthur Dayne, that'd be an even greater fight! Sorry, totally fanboying over them 🤣
