That's why in his last moments the memories of his mother seeping through the seal (just like Kirito and Eugeo sometimes, under special circumstances, can remember fragments of their childhood) were overlapping with Alice. As for who gave Eldrie the push you might want to take another look at the sleeve of the arm that gave him a push, you know that sleeve. The novels are actually really explicit about who it was, but I don't know if I should outright tell you.
