The Four Factions Summit (TLDP Chap 28)

Thoughts

“Talking”

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I didn’t expect for you to be here, Ouroboros,” Micheal greeted, the man smiling stiffly.

“Indeed. To think you’d crash our meeting…” Serafall trailed off, the normally silly magical girl looking much more serious and professional as she wore an entire suit. Her body was tensed, the woman glancing at Sona subtly from where she stood behind her.

“I don’t mind you being here, but to show up without any notice,” Even Azazel looked concerned, the man grinning wearily as a bead of sweat dripped down his face, “One might get the wrong idea.”

“Let’s not beat around the bush,” Sirzechs added, a light red glow forming around the man. The air in the room grew thick, the power barely restrained in the Super-Devil threatening to break through, “Should we take this as a threat?”

The normally cheerful man's threatening aura was understandable, as he was concerned for the same reason Serafall was. His beloved sister was standing not too far away, and he needed to be able to protect her at the drop of a hat.

“Yeah! Why are you here, Ophis-chan?!” Yasaka huffed, the woman looking much less concerned than the other faction leaders, all of whom looked like they were ready to fight for their lives.

“...I live here,” Ophis replied, the normally emotionless girl’s face actually gaining a slight deadpan at their words. Over the course of her many years living in Naruto’s house, the thousands-year-old dragon girl had become a bit more emotional.

“Oh, right,” Serafall blinked, relaxing slightly as Ophis’s presence actually made sense.

“S-Still! Why are you doing this during such an important meeting?” Yasaka scolded, “Are you trying to distract Naruto-chan?!”

“...I was sleeping,” Ophis replied dryly again, the ‘distracting Naruto’ in question being the girl sitting on Naruto’s lap in his bed, “He is a good pillow.”

“For the record, I was also sleeping,” Naruto deadpanned, glancing around the room. Naruto was still sitting in his bed, his back leaning against the bedrest behind him as Ophis was sitting in his lap.

Around him, a sight that would’ve sent any normal person fleeing in fear was occurring - a meeting between the four strongest factions. Luckily, this time the faction leaders actually had chairs, so Naruto’s bed was being used more like a table than a sitting place.

To Naruto’s left, Micheal sat comfortably, Irina and Xenovia standing on alert behind him with their Excalibur’s sheathed. To his right, Sirzechs and Serafall shared a side of his bed. Grayfia stood diligently behind Sirzechs, fulfilling her role as the ‘Strongest Queen’ as she was a blushing mes-

All I did was glance at her!

True to Naruto’s thoughts, simply glancing at Grayfia had turned her beet-red. To her side stood Rias’s peerage, the younger devils actually looking much more professional than Grayfia. Rias was in a long red dress that hugged her curves, Akeno was in a black one, and Asia was wearing a bright yellow one. Meanwhile, Kiba was also standing stiffly nearby, the man in a tuxedo.

How are they more serious than the literal faction leaders? I’m actually prou-

“Hi, honey!” Rias broke his thoughts, the girl waving excitedly at him as she noticed him looking at her.

Never mind, not all of them. At least Akeno is being pretty professional-

“Fufu, don’t look at me like that, Naruto-chan,” Akeno giggled as his eyes moved over to her, the woman purposefully crossing her arms under her massive breasts and pushing them up, “You’ll embarrass me in front of the Maou’s~”

I take it back. Well, at least Asia is pretty normal-

“Go Naruto-sama!” Asia pulled a flag with Naruto’s face on it out of seemingly nowhere, waving it at him in support as he looked at her.

Never mind. I’m not even going to think about Kib-

Naruto cut his own thought off as his eyes slowly slid to Kiba, causing the boy’s eyes to widen as literal stars appeared. Naruto slowly dragged his eyes away, watching as the stars faded and the boy became serious again.

Is this my fault?

He slowly turned his head again, glancing at the boy, and the stars in his eyes started to shine again. He swiftly turned away, and Kiba turned back to normal, looking as if he had always been seriously standing guard.

Somehow, this is my fault.

Naruto turned his eyes away from Rias’s peerage, turning to Serafall’s half of the right side of his bed. Behind her stood Sona and her peerage, all of them also in fancy dresses and actually looking serious.

Well, serious until Naruto glanced at them, in which case Sona and Tsubaki both looked away with red faces.

This is the biggest meeting in the history of ever, and they’re acting like this?!

Luckily, the front side of his bed was rather normal, as Azazel sat there facing him directly. He merely gave Naruto a nod as they met eyes, and standing behind him was Vali-

Damn it. Why can nothing ever be normal?

While Vali wasn’t verbally causing trouble, the White Dragon Emperor was staring at Naruto with excited eyes, his body practically vibrating. He looked like he was rearing to leap across the bed and fight Naruto, but was barely holding himself back.

Finally, the Youkai Faction’s representatives were also to Naruto’s right - and, actually, to his left as well. However, they were actually lounging next to him in his bed as opposed to sitting in chairs.

“Why didn’t we get chairs?” Naruto asked blandly, glancing to his right at Yasaka and Kunou, while Kuroka and Shirone were sitting to his left.

“Your comfortability is of utmost importance!” Kunou nodded sagely, reminding Naruto that he had unintentionally told all the faction leaders to value how comfortable he was over the actual meeting during their last ‘pre-summit meeting’.

“Oh, right! I’ll make it even more comfortable!” Shirone nodded, her face far too serious for what she was about to do. She climbed over Kuroka, pushing herself into Naruto’s lap as she shoved Ophis over, “Move over!”

“I-I’ll join too!” Kunou shouted, not wanting to be left out as she climbed over Yasaka and into Naruto’s lap as well.

They’re lucky I have so much restraint.

Naruto thought idly, keeping himself composed as the three petite women pushed their asses down into his crotch as they fought for a spot in his lap. Luckily, after living with so many sexy women for so long, Naruto was more than able to keep his Naruto Jr. under control.

“Well, if she’s not here to interfere with the meeting, then I suppose it is not an issue,” Micheal nodded calmly, “Let us begin our peace talks.”

Also luckily, the other faction leaders seemed to have no problems with Shrione, Kunou, and Ophis creating a disturbance in the historically important meeting.

“We’re already in an unofficial peace, but now is the time to make it official and lay out the ground rules,” Yasaka nodded, managing to somehow look serious and imposing despite the fact that she was lying in a bed and pressing her breasts into Naruto’s side.

“Then, we will make the first demands,” Serafall said, surprising Naruto again how the normally silly girl could suddenly be so serious, “From the Grigori, we want any fallen removed from the noble clans new territory. We understand that we were all forced from the Underworld on short notice and that the Grigori were already staking claims in the human world, but this is non-negotiable. The noble clans will not stand for the fallen being in their territory.”

Damn, is this really the same girl who bet the entire devil government’s funds on a poker game?!

“That’s doable,” Azazel hummed easily, nodding at her words, “In return, ensure that all devils stay out of the western half of North America. We were also forced out of the underworld - my kind need somewhere to have their fun.”

This is all… surprisingly reasonable.

Naruto couldn’t help but be surprised as the normally rather insane faction leaders mundanely discussed their ends of the peace treaty bargain.

“Is this all fine so far, Naruto-chan?” Serafall asked abruptly, glancing over at him seriously.

“Eh?” Naruto blinked, “...I guess? Why are you asking me?”

“Well, obviously we’d want you to approve of the stipulations in the peace treaty,” Azazel nodded, claiming the not-so-obvious reason was obvious.

“That didn’t have anything to do with the Youkai,” Naruto raised an eyebrow at him, “Besides, I’m leaving all this stuff to Yasaka. I’m just here because you guys literally broke into my bedroom. How’d you even get in here without waking me up? My instincts are pretty damn good!”

“...I silenced them…” Ophis muttered ominously, “They were too loud…”

Right. She might look like a cute small girl, but she’s actually a super-powerful ancient dragon.

“Not just the Youkai Faction stuff, Naru-chan! You need to approve everything!” Serafall said, the girl slipping slightly back into her silly personality as she puffed out her cheeks, “You’re the whole reason this meeting is possible!”

“Eh? Because you’re in my bedroom?” Naruto asked blandly, misunderstanding what she meant, “You could really find a different meeting spot. Also, Yasaka is the one who owns the building, so you should still ask her.”

“Not that,” Azazel chuckled, shaking his head at Naruto, “You’re the one who brought us all together.”

“Nope,” Naruto shot back dryly, “You guys broke into my bedroom. I didn’t have anything to do with setting this up.”

“Not like that either, Naruto-chan,” Sirzechs answered this time, smiling at Naruto, “Before you appeared, our relationships were neutral at best. Us bonding over how much we like you, and becoming friends in the process, is why this meeting is possible! Without you, we’d probably be in a tentative cease-fire for centuries more.”

Naruto blinked at his words. He glanced around, his eyes moving from Serafall, to Azazel, to Sirzechs, and then to Micheal.

They’re all so friendly, I just assumed they already got along. But…

A grin slipped onto Naruto’s face. He could never be upset at making new friends, and at turning the faction leaders, who were once sworn race-enemies, into a group of friends.

“Alright, fine,” Naruto chuckled, “I approve so far.”

This is for the best anyway. If I didn’t have to approve everything, then they’d probably add some crazy stuff to it.

“Then, we will agree to that,” Sirzechs nodded, the man’s face steeling as he became less serious than Serafall but still hard and composed, “Now, from Heaven we request that you keep the Church under tighter control. Now that you can access the underworld, and we can not, it would be appreciated if the church stopped trying to remove us from the human world. Countless young reincarnated devils have been killed by excorcists since moving to the human world.”

Fair enough. That’s kind of my fault too… I feel a bit bad.

“That’ll be hard to do. Even if I give the direct order, there are many who view devils as our natural enemies,” Micheal hummed, his face steeled but still kind as he looked back at Sirzechs, “But, I will try. In return, I’m afraid I’m going to ask for something equally as difficult. I understand that the reincarnation system is how your race grows in population, and I am fine with allowing it to continue, but only on the basis that those with peerage take better care of their servants. Many of your kind in the human world cycle through peerage members like they are slaves, forcefully turning humans then carelessly letting them die so they can reuse their pieces.”

That’s also surprisingly reasonable - but, Micheals has always been pretty reasonable. A lot more than…

Naruto side-eyed Serafall and Sirzechs, then glanced at Azazel. Micheal was definitely the most composed and reasonable of the bunch.

“That will also be difficult,” Sirzechs conceded, “The public perception of reincarnated servants is largely that they are slaves. But, I will also make an attempt to change that perception, and I will ask my fellow Maou to do the same. It might take time, but both of our requests are possible. Does that sound good, Naruto-chan?”

“Yup,” Naruto nodded simply, still feeling weird that they were asking for his approval about matters that involved their factions.

It’s still weird to see them all so serious.

“Then, I will go next,” Azazel started, “From Heaven, the Grigori request that the Church stop targeting fallen angels in the human world. We were also forced out of the underworld.”

The same thing the devils want. I guess the Church are pretty aggressive.

“That is also a difficult request, but I will try,” Micheal chuckled, “And, not to sound like a broken record, but I’ll request an equally difficult condition. Please keep a tighter lease on your subordinates and stop them from trying to convert angels and exorcists.”

“I’ll also sound like a broken record, but,” Azazel waved his hand in the air lazily, “It’ll be tough. My brethren aren’t very good at following orders, as you could probably guess from what Kokobiel did, but I’ll try. Sound good, Naruto-chan?”

“That’s fine with me,” Naruto nodded again.

“Then, next, we will make a request of the Youkai Faction,” Serafall butted in, the woman’s face turning deathly serious as she garnered both Naruto and Yasaka’s attention, “Firstly, to mend our relationship and apologize for the Nekoshou incident, we are willing to help resolve your lack of fighting power. Currently, the Youkai Faction is very top-heavy, with only Naru-cha-”

Serafall coughed abruptly as she caught herself, “Naruto-chan and Yasaka-chan being strong fighters. We will supply trainers to improve the youkai army’s average power, as well as send members of Sirzech’s peerage to personally train Konou-chan, Kuroka-chan, and Shirone-chan - as well as whoever else you deem fit.”

Naruto blinked in surprise at her gesture.

It’s nice that they want to make up for what happened. After I saved Kuroka and Shirone, we just kind of glossed over it.

Naruto wasn’t keen to make a big fuss over it - the devils were definitely in the wrong, but he also purified the entire world they lived in and made them all relocate, so he figured they were even.

“The Youkai Faction will accept your apology,” Yasaka nodded professionally, smiling at Serafall.

“Thank you. Then, for your request,” Serafall coughed again, her cheeks suddenly turning red, “S-Since the Youkai Faction has accumulated a large amount of wealth over the past few years, we are requesting financial aid. We are requesting enough gold to fill our governments treasury, which is equivalent to one-fourth of the Youkai Faction’s estimated wealth.”

Naruto blinked at her words.

Is this because she gambled away all that money? I can just give it back.

Naruto opened his mouth to put his thoughts into words but wasn’t given the chance as Serafall quickly continued, “I-In return, we will offer one-fourth of the Maou as compensation!”

Naruto stared at her blankly as Serafall spit out the last part, her face beet red.

The hell does that mean?

“I-In return for the funds, the Maou Serafall Levithan will…” Serafall looked away, not meeting Naruto’s eyes as she seemed to flush an even deeper shade of red, “...Marry the Youkai God.”

The room was silent for a moment, everyone staring blankly at Serafall.

How the hell did this happen?! There was no misunderstandings - no system making people act crazy! This just actually happened!

Naruto opened his mouth again to deny her, as he wasn’t going to essentially buy his friends hand in marriage, but someone else beat him to it again.

“No!” Naruto blinked, glancing over at Sona as she pointed dramatically at Serafall.

“S-So-tan?” Serafall blinked, glancing back at Sona, “I’m glad your worried about me, but I knew we’d be offering this for a while. I’m prepared-”

“Not that!” Sona shot her down again, glaring at Serafall, “If you marry Naruto-chan, then I can’t! Not happening - instead, the devil faction will offer the noble house of Sitri’s heiress as compensation!”

The room was silent again, everyone staring blankly at Sona.

“...I don’t think she can just do that,” Azazel muttered, casually reaching back and holding back Vali as the man's excitement started to boil over.

“W-What do you mean, So-tan?!” Serafall huffed, confused about what Sona was trying to do, “You can’t just do that on your own! Let me handle this, I’m fine with becoming Naruto-chan’s brid-”

“It’s not because I’m worried about you!” Sona counter-huffed, glaring at Serafall, “It’s because I want to marry Naruto-chan!”

“W-What?!” Serafall sputtered, “N-Naru-chan is trying to steal my So-tan?!”

“No, I’m really not,” Naruto deadpanned.

“Yes, he is! He’s already defeated me in chess too!” Sona shouted dramatically, causing Serafall’s eyes to go wide, “Not only that, he completely humiliated me! He showed me that nothing can stand in the way of our love - not even you!”

‘Our love?’ She sucked me off one time!

Naruto hadn’t even taken Sona’s virginity during their group ‘teaching,’ as he knew her family would be pissed about it.

“N-No! I can’t believe this is happening!” Serafall stuttered, turning around to look at Naruto with shadowed eyes, “Y-You promised me you would never play chess, Naruto-chan!”

“I didn’t play chess,” Naruto sighed, “It was devil chess.”

But, it’s literally the same thing, so there’s no way she’ll accept tha-

“Damn it! I didn’t think about that!” Serafall puffed out her cheeks cutely, pointing at Naruto dramatically, “Naru-channnnnnn! Why are you stealing my So-tan!”

“I’m not trying t-”

“Because we’re in love! Don’t try to get in the way!” Sona huffed again, her face also beet-red as she got worked up.

When did we fall in love? Did I miss that chapter?

“I-I won’t just let you take my So-tan like that, Naru-chan!” Serafall shot back, “The devil faction is changing their offer! We want 10% more gold, and we’ll offer both Serafall Levithan and Sona Sitri’s hands in marriage to the Youkai God!”

“...Yeah, she can actually do that,” Azazel muttered to the side, watching amusedly.

“No, no. We don’t have to do this. I’ll give back the money you lost gambling, so none of us ar-” Naruto stopped himself before the words came out.

Wait, I know where this is going! I’ve seen this too many times! I’m going to say no, then the system is going to disagree! I’m a step ahead this time, damn system!

“Actually, I take it back. I’m keeping all the money, and the Youkai Faction agrees to this deal,” Naruto nodded, a large grin forming on his face as he felt like he had finally outsmarted the system, “I’m definitely in love with both of you, so we’ll get married and live happily ever after!”

Naruto slammed his hands on his bed as he finished, looking slightly crazy as he grinned widely.

Alright, system! Do your worst!

The whole room was staring at Naruto after his outburst.

System? Are you delayed this time or something?

Damn it-

“Yay! Welcome to the family, Sona!” Rias cheered, launching forward and wrapping Sona in a hug.

“N-Naru-chan loves me?” Serafall blushed, glancing away shyly.

…Why does this always happen?

Naruto simply stared ahead blankly, unable to escape his fate.

And so, the Youkai God gained two more fiances.
