Yeah I agree but I also see it as him projecting and trying to make up for his murder by sticking to his ideals to prove to himself that he’s a good person

He goes off to save/help his mass mudering dad but, when Darkwing Two is legit trying to be a good person and he fully knows what he did, killing people, was wrong, Mark is instantly being like “NOPE, he goes to jail now” How very selfish of him right? Again, I love Mark, one of my fav characters (read the entire comic back in 2021/22) and oh boy, have we got a journey with this show

I completely agree that him feeling regret and sorrow for killing The Immortal is a clear sign that he is a good person. That being said, he still killed him. He did what he felt was needed given the situation. I feel incredibly sad that Mark was put in that situation, and I will not blame him considering we don't know the circumstances of the future version of Mark. That being said, how is it that after that situation and the situation with Angstrom can he be so completely self-righteous when it comes to Cecil? I'm not going to say that these two situations makes Mark the same as Cecil, but it should be very enlightening for Mark that sometimes people are pushed to make choices they don't want to, especially considering Cecil isn't super powered. The writing has been spectacular this season, and I love you guy's insight on things.

Nolan alluded to that in S1 when he told Mark they spread themselves too thin but now we know the whole truth. It’s also why they’ve been giving Mark and Nolan so many chances to come to their side. They can’t afford to kill them if they could turn/turn back

2025-02-14 20:10:40 +0000 UTCJust to clarify the Future Immortal stuff, it’s a mix of a couple things. The toll of immortality became too much for him and that’s why he became evil as a way to try get Future Mark to come back to Earth and kill him, I do also think he went mad which is why he engineered such a convoluted way for that to happen.

Still, going up against 49 tried and tested Viltrumite warriors sounds super terrifying. They are definitely not going to make it easy for the Coalition.

I have a feeling that Mark is going to continue to find himself in very difficult positions like this, especially from a morality standpoint.
