Another Japanese thing that might go under the radar here is when Daki remarked on Zenitsu's hair color and asked if he actually wanted to stand out. Standing out is not generally culturally acceptable in Japan. Being like those around you and not having, or at least voicing, strong opinions is the Japanese way. They're generally far more tolerant of foreigners being different and standing out and won't typically rush to point it out, but they're far more critical and open about stamping out such behavior in their own culture. There've been news articles in the past where half-Japanese children who didn't have completely black hair had to dye it black in order to attend school. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it is different and you don't often see it pointed out in shonen anime other than passively with things like school uniforms.
