You felt his death so deeply and with such genuine emotion that I could easily imagine you considering his return a betrayal of those feelings. I’m beyond happy it didn’t go down that way.

2024-12-22 21:04:39 +0000 UTCWith thae Matron being a neutral entity, whose domain is not only Death but Fate, it tracks for her to basically remind Vax that actions have consequences. As she told him, he's fate touched, able to bend thae threads of fate. So it seems to be this is him further accepting what it means to not only be her Champion and all that can entails, particularly walking in thae veil between life and death. That place where they guard and protect the soul's transition. When he tell her Percy's soul's been violated, he's making his case (that you also brought up)- I think that's Vax deciding that if fate can be bent, it doesn't have to be cruel to those whose life was impacted by things out of their control and with no support system to help them heal. Aka - a true second chance.
