This is honestly my first time noticing the one-takes and I'd seen the show already. Amazing storytelling!

It truly is heartbreaking! Especially that last shot with herself in the casket and as the bent-neck lady. It was like no one say either versions of her🥲

The “none of you could see me” is so upsetting. All through her life, nobody really saw Nell. She was the troubled little sister. No one ever answered her calls, no one was really there when Arthur died and not even her twin because he was so deep in his drug addiction. Nell’s story is heartbreaking

I really hope after you watch this show you watch the "every ghost you missed" video! I watched Hill House 3 times just to catch them all and I still missed a couple - it'll give you chills :) Great reaction and the reason I became a patreon!

The lights, the casket falling over. That was Nell trying to get their attention. “I was right here and you couldn’t see me”

This is one of the best episodes of TV ever. The acting, the one-takes, the meaning of Nell's final dialogue, the family dynamics; this show is beyond good, it's a whole other level of epic.
I am also so glad you guys caught the one-takes that creator & director, Mike Flanagan (another fun fact, he's the husband of Kate Siegel who is the actress that plays adult Theo) as well as the cinematographer, Michael Fimognari, and the cast pulled off; the entire episode was 5 one-takes, the longest of which is the 17-minute tracking shot from the beginning with the kids together at the funeral parlor to the transition to Hill House. Absolutely insane and epic choreography & cinematography with incredible acting from the cast.
Also, with Kate's fall (the actress who plays Theo): she's meant to sit on the chair arm, but actually sat wrong and slipped off, so the reaction of the cast to help her up was genuine but she went with it to keep the scene going and leaned into it as Theo being drunk and uncoordinated. Just chef's kiss all around!
