2024-03-11 20:47:25 +0000 UTCI'm definitely not saying my lack of enjoyment comes from its lack of brutality. (Because there are some scenes Disney let happen.) Its the fact that so much of it isn't as well put together tonally and plot-wise like here in The Lawless. The first two seasons of the Filoni-verse were awesome, but then its direction clearly fell off the rails after that. I even like Rebels for the most part, but that was really only made because Clone Wars was cancelled at a point where there were too many unanswered questions. In short, all that had to be done was finish off the original plans for Clone Wars, maybe make a sequel animated series with the same animation, and work on a sequel trilogy of movies that was as faithful to George's outline as possible. Just three projects to finish and make. They couldn't even do ONE of those things with a professional work ethic! 😂

Disney kept back-pedaling the straightforwardness and brutality of Star Wars. It's only recently where things have been a bit more serious, but even then they've been so inconsistent with quality too. Too much rot in Lucasfilm 2.0 unfortunately.

You don’t want to see your favorite characters die but when they die and it has narrative and emotional weight, you know it’s done well. This arc had some of the best story and fights in the entire star wars brand. There’s another banger arc after this one too!!
