they keep trying to explain thing instead of doing story telling and the thing they keep trying to explain wasn't even thing we needed to think or talk about in season 1 it's for season 2.

Your last name kinda feels like my tongue is tap dancing at the top of my mouth if I say it fast enough. Kinda funny and puts you in a good mood! Not sure if anyone’s told you that before.

Exactly. I think people keep saying we are haters but it’s a lot more than just simply hating live action. It seems they missed the point of some story lines and characters.

This isn't a bad show for newcomers to the Avatar world...but as for me...the changes do not work. It takes away from their character development. It even messed up the connection between Aang and Katara. So the show is a 5 out of 10 for me. Not terrible but not good. Just flat in the middle.

So many people trying to defend this live action. Nah man, it’s garbage. Acting is so bad. Looks like they only took one shot for each scene

This is a long, but fun comment: On the creators leaving, I didn’t mind it that much. People forget those two also gave us Legend of Korra (the sequel series) and that show is INFAMOUS for being bad. The main reason the original worked as well as it did was because it was a team effort of both the creators AND the married duo of Aaron Ehasz and his wife. (The head writers). Sadly, I’ve heard those four were kind of like The Beatles. Huge when together. Little when apart. 😅 In regards to this episode, I found it interesting you guys thought the badger mole change was lazy. It’s not that far off than what Toph does, and they’re the original earthbenders. Sooo… On the other hand, the stuff with Bumi is the definition of great concept but poor execution unfortunately. 😔 Lastly, when you guys talked on how great Zuko and Iroh are in this season I think it’s because people forget how genuinely WEIRD the Gaang was in the first season while everyone else was normal. They got along more by putting each other down more than actually learning how to collaborate. I do think the next seasons are gonna focus more on episodes that have them work together well, but people forget how the pacing of the maturity level of the kids in the original show didn’t real make sense. Using anime references, the OG Season 1 was more like a kid-friendly Konosuba than a toned-down Re:Zero. Season 1 was honestly not written well in its logic. The next two Books though??? Those were straight up 🧨🔥🔥!!

I’m already into season two of the OG avatar and I’m not really in love with it, so maybe I’ll actually like this one

Jim

The original writers wrote episode 1 and 6. So even though they left, they had a hand in it still.

Volume

Honestly I wish they didn’t even include the tale of the two lovers. It was irrelevant to what happened and the story really wouldn’t have changed if they didn’t include it. At least not their version of the story. I have seen the whole season and it’s not bad. It’s definitely weird in some spots barring the acting. But I have one main issue with it that makes me concerned because they have been given a Season 2&3, allegedly.

I just can't believe Ozai's actor is 55 and Iroh's actor is 51 lol

Fumin

Not gonna lie this episode is where they lost me😂

shemroy

Zuko's actor by far the best of all.

Fumin

Just a rumor. I can believe it either way honestly.

Other way around

The second half is much better. The fragmented storylines come together good in the end

Ryan Winn

I heard that the reason the original writers left was actually because they wanted to make even more changes and Netflix wanted to stick closer to the original.

Kasen Rogers

Episode 6 is one you guys HAVE to see.

Nunya Business

Like I said episode 3 is where you start seeing the split reactions, and e4 is where you really decide how you're going to view the rest of the series. I gave it the side-eye the rest of the time after seeing this. I don't agree it gets stronger necessarily. I think it has good parts and bad parts every episode. I personally hate episode 6 with a passion.

Terry Jackson

yeah y’all saved me from even attempting to watch this series. i’ll always have the original animated series and that’s ok

Justin Giles

So true

Carlos Jakicevich

Best part of this episode for me was Zuko and Iroh. Worst part was Bumi’s attitude.

KeyWii

Episodes 5 and 6 r some of the strongest 7 is really good but the finale is a banger

Convulsion Gaming

This is definitely my least favorite episode other than the zuko iroh parts they shouldn't have brought in the secret tunnels yet they aren't until season 2. Don't think of this as an exact adaptation think of it as 2 people telling the same story just like in real life you have several cultures that have the same story but has slight differences. But this is definitely the weakest episode of the whole series

Convulsion Gaming

I didn’t mind the first two episodes of the live action, but then it just started rushing through things way too much. We never asked for a live action so I don’t see why they need to put so many things together. They chose to rush through things yet they decided to add many things from season 2?
