Some lovely news

This morning I woke up to find I had been placed third in the Fashion/Beauty (Amateur) category of the Monochrome Photography Awards, with an image I had submitted of the stunning Sian. What makes it even more pleasing is that the image is one of my all-time favourite ones that I have made. And Sian is one of my absolute favourite models to shoot with.

This set is from a day I spent shooting with Sian back in April. It was our second shoot together, and I had planned a day shooting Sian wearing denim in various forms - ripped jeans, oversize jeans, and this lovely denim corset. It definitely ranks as one of my favourite shoots ever.

Unfortunately due to illness, Sian and I only managed one more shoot in 2022, as she then secured her dream job and left the UK for six months. She is due back soon though, and I am hoping to get in a couple of shoots before she goes again.

I have had a few messages from Patrons, asking for more images of Sian, and I will definitely be posing more in the future.

These images were shot on a grey paper roll backdrop, using just one studio strobe plus octabox, positioned left of camera, as high as it would go in my low-ceilinged room, and angled down at an angle.
