2021-06-01 02:26:26 +0000 UTCYou say it probably wasnt worth it for Kyoani to do this mad experiement- and at the time you well may be right- but long term- as you mentioned- it had lasting impact on anime and anime fans and is still talked about- even if not exactly fondly lol, all these years later.. Maybe it WAS worth it for them in the long run - in terms of legacy and place in anime history.
