Tummy Rubs Tutorial (sorta)
Added 2021-12-11 04:37:02 +0000 UTCI was talking to another artist today and they mentioned they have some trouble drawing tummy rubs, especially those from behind so I wanted to do a couple little doodles showing how I go about posing the characters and just a couple of belly squeezes and jiggles.
I don't always draw the full figure of the character standing behind, but it is helpful to do sometimes if you're trying to draw something like this and you find it doesn't look quite right. I draw the front character first, lower the opacity of that layer then draw the back character on another layer.
When it comes to squeezes, rubs and jiggles I like to make it look like the fat is soft enough to easily be manipulated, squeezing between the fingers and such.
I figured I'd draw this up in case it proves helpful to other artists. I may ink and color the Cartjiro doodle if anyone would like that!
