THE GOHAN RAP with Tha J-Squad
Added 2022-08-13 04:47:08 +0000 UTCSo I first heard this beat from Remix Maniacs and thought "WOW this beat has everything I like all in one." Trap, rock, drill, cinematic orchestra. I mean, it blew me away and I knew I had to do a rap for Gohan with the new movie coming out.
As I started brainstorming, I was really trying to draw from what I had in common with Gohan as a character. A family man. Doesn't really like fighting but knows how. Hard upbringing. Failure at some things but persistence. It just felt like I could draw the emotion out even more as I started writing.
I also knew I wanted to add some melodic elements to it. I recorded most of the draft with some basic melodies but found the melodies more and more as I recorded the finals. It took me nearly 6 hours to finish recording as I found more melodies and rewrote more and more bars. By the end of it all, my voice was done. Tyler mixed and mastered it all for me and really gave it that clean oomph and energy.
I apologize if the projects have been slowing down. I've been taking much more time on my writing, the video editing, and the mix and mastering to make sure the final product is much more amazing. Plus balancing family life and HOA life and gym life and having to find new beats for all the characters I planned so we're starting from scratch a bit. I hope this makes it worth it for you guys as my patreons, and I appreciate you all very much.
