Mom Hopper & Stevie
Added 2018-03-02 16:01:49 +0000 UTCI decided to ink and color this sketch from one of my Ask Vincent posts. It's the first time I've drawn Ben's mother and I wanted to get a feel for her colors. I think this looks pretty good, it's rare that I can nail a character design based on the image I've got in my head on the first try, but I think in this case Mrs. Hopper came out pretty much how I was picturing her.
I drew her holding a hand towel because the scene is from a future Chunky Skunk story where Vincent meets Ben's family. Mrs. Hopper (who will have a proper name eventually) was in the middle of drying her hands and getting dinner ready when Stevie decided to hide behind her. He can be a shy baby bun sometimes! I don't think mom's particularly tall, and neither is Stevie, but he must be crouching a bit here. :)
I'm mostly happy with how mom came out. I'm not sure if I'll stick with the white bunny color scheme for her (the kids' brown bunny color comes from dad).
