Kim Manners was the Supernatural director and executive producer who passed away around season 4 of Supernatural. I believe Vince Gilligan and the show runners of both shows know each other. This episode on BB aired while Supernatural was in season 4. I agree with you about Jesse. I mentioned a little in the last episode, but I was happy to see him stand up to Walt and find some confidence. I still think it's amazing how the writers are able to create sympathy for these characters. yes, Walt has cancer, but Jesse is addicted to meth and is a drug dealer and yet I want to see him do well... WHAT?! Rooting for a drug dealer? The writers do such a great job.
