2023-08-15 19:09:16 +0000 UTCYes, congrats on figuring out that the evil being released could be Lucifer shedding his own perceived 'evil'. Most reactors think usually it means evil will be brought upon the earth which as D Boss said could also be demons running about L.A? Intriguing isn't it? There was so much to like in this episode but much as I like Eve, and agree with you that she is child-like and naive, she did begin to annoy me a little (I suppose judging her by our own modern standards) in that she is unable to grow up and let go and still thinks she can make Lucifer love her when he obviously doesn't. The grown up in the situation (the prophecy) and the one Lucifer can rely on is Chloe. I know the gift from God thing has meant he had kept her at arms length and then tentatively tried to rekindle the beginnings of the relationship again only to be rejected by Chloe earlier in the season but these two clearly have some sort of deeper connection. Luci has been fearful all along that Chloe would be terrified of him when he was revealed to her and of course she was... I say was, because now it seems that she is trying to understand and accept him as he is and not only that but the most lovely thing of all wants him to accept himself. I loved what you said about him not hating his 'devil' features for they are a part of him- of how he expresses and feels about himself. Angels self actualise after all and physically manifest what they are feeling. Amenadiel worked that out a long time ago, The finale is fantastic and with so many threads to tie up and new dangers (demons) to face it is quite a ride! As D Boss said, though, despite all the excitement a drama don't forget those tissues!

2023-08-10 20:40:43 +0000 UTCYou were correct in your first "aha" moment about evil being released. The evil that is Lucifer's guilt and self hatred is the evil being released. And it also means a demon is being released into the earth as we have seen. Prophecy often has more than one level of meaning, and the writers did reveal that your understanding of Lucifer releasing his inner evil is what they meant with the prophecy, along with other levels of meaning. Congrats on figuring it out! The next one is a wild emotional ride, and you'll need some tissues....
