Yes I recognized Ellie from GoT, she was so badass in it!! I also heard only good things about the adaptation from video game to TV show so that's always fun, even though I wouldn't be able to tell myself lol I'm excited! :)

I cry every time. They didn’t rehearse the scene so all the emotions were right there. Her mom in real life is actress Thandie Newton. I know you knew who Pedro was, but wasn’t sure if you recognized the actress playing Ellie. She was on Game of Thrones like Pedro, but at different times. Her first appearance was in season 6 as the feisty Lyanna Mormont from Bear Island and she stole every scene she was in telling off all the adults lol. You might remember her from the battle against the white walkers. Pedro said that he was talking to his sister on speaker phone and started telling her about a role he was offered based off a video game and he barely got the word “The” out of his mouth when he heard his nephews in the background yelling excitedly “The Last Of Us??” Sounds like his nephews wouldn’t have forgiven him if he didn’t take the role. I’ve never played this game, but people have said they think it’s the best adaptation from a game to a movie/TV show and many of the scenes and dialogue are taken directly from the game, in fact, Marlene who is the leader of the Fireflies is the same actress from the game.
