I was pensive hitting play for this... Sometimes you just have to leap so I did. As the old man began to cry at Fred Asaire's singing I could tell what I had feared for Evie... was going to happen Then with the introduction of Mr.Jangles - (the mouse) I realized Evie was going to have it harder than most - she loves animals so. "Nothing like a good piss" says Evie! The a day smirks and winks when Paul and his wife are having a good time. At the time when John Kofe And when Big John brought the mouse back to life. Evie's face glowed as bright as the life light John brought. Evie was in awe at Big John saving Melinda's life and again as Percy kills Wild Bill and ends up at the mental institution. And when the end is coming... Evie cried "You tell God The Father, it was a kindness you done. I want it to be over and done with. I do. I'm tired boss. I'm tired of being lonely as a sparrow in the rain. I'm tired of people being ugly to one another. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world every day. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head, all the time. - Can you understand?" And when the image of Fred Astaire singing and dancing flickers on Big John's face at he watches hist first and only movie... Evie gasps... "That's what made HIM cry!" and cries herself just a little more. "This is so sad." And as the curse of the full length of the Green Mile is revealed... Evie stares off and sighs. A reaction for the ages...

Aside from the fact that The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption take place in prisons, they are both based off of Stephen King’s stories and are both written for the screen and directed by the same person, Frank Darabont. I was happy to see you recognized the father of the two blonde girls. Yes, he played Haywood in Shawshank and had a knife held to his throat. A couple of men from the search party when they found John Coffey with the girls, also played prisoners in Shawshank. You summed it up perfectly. John was arrested for killing the girls because there was no way to know that he was trying to save them by “taking it back” but it was too late. The actor who played John Coffey is 6’5” but the movie made him look like he was around 7” tall. The other prison guard Brutus (Brutal) Howell is 6’4” and the warden, Hal Moores is 6”7. Because John was an empath, when Del was executed, John could feel all the pain that Del was experiencing. And he wanted to die because he could feel all the pain around him like glass in his head or bees stinging him the way John explained it and it was too much to bear any longer I loved what you said at the end of the movie about being torn. The viewers wanted him to be freed, but there was no proof of his innocence except what he was able to show Paul, but the viewers also want to see John at peace
