XD Plus, Katara and Aang were always too sweet in my opinion, it was hard to ship them with anyone else.

2023-02-21 21:32:21 +0000 UTCone of my favorite notes about this episode is how aang and katara bend the clouds. all the way back in episode 7 (i believe) sokka says katara should jump in the clouds, aang does and say’s “i guess clouds are made of water”. and then in this episode aang has the idea to bend the clouds because he knows its made of air and water. its just written so GOOD—

If you notice at the start Sokka was a lot more serious, which was the plan at first, him being the calm, serious one of the group, but the VA just had so much fun energy to him and a habit of adlibbing in jokes that they quickly realized how well that take worked and wrote Sokka as the goof he is now.
