My Goals, my life, future plans.
Added 2020-05-17 15:26:51 +0000 UTCI would like to anticipate what will be the next goals that I would like to achieve and what I will do concretely with the amounts achieved.
So you will give me an opinion.
Thanks to the achievement of 1000 USD per month I can fully cover my mortgage which is very high.
Unfortunately, 11 years ago, houses cost a lot more than today, in which there was a collapse of the real estate market and a significant drop in mortgages.
Mine is 868.64 euros per month for 20 years. If you want I can scan my bank return plan documents to show you my honesty.
It is a fixed rate, because 11 years ago it was cheaper than the variable rate. But I am unlucky and after two years the variable rate has collapsed because in Italy the crises have started, with short governments, tax increases ... and nobody bought the house anymore.
And I could not renegotiate the mortgage because ... two years before I had guarantees, because my father was my guarantor, no bank trusted my work for PBB as a guarantee, so my father placed his home and business as collateral.
This is why I have asked Ronald for years for a CONTRACT, to have a document of job to close my fixed rate mortgage and open a new one variable rate ! But without a paycheck, without a contract, I could no longer go to negotiate anything with the bank. I waited the promise of Ronald for years. Oh he promised me a lot of things: a green card as artist, a visa, to became my sponsor...to move in USA...you know the story.
I believe you understand what I'm trying to say.
So I am stuck with this mortgage, with this figure, forever, at least until the very next 9 years.
So now I can finally get some breath and I hope that the 1000 USD goal will never drop again °^^ !
Now I think I should write my next goals and I've thought about it a lot. My future goals will be very concrete things, like the mortgage.
Upon reaching $ 1500 USD I will be able to upgrade my technology, my work tools.
Here's what I need, not in order:
-An uninterruptible power supply, because I don't have it and I live in terror at every storm.
-A new Smartphone because my Galaxy Note 2 (2012) is broken, it works very badly, over the years it has become obsolete and I can't do things ... it also works very badly.
-A Tablet or iPad, to work anywhere and not just on the desktop PC! I would love to be a pro artist carrying his work tool around, and to be able to use graphics programs like Procreate which is an app for the Ipads and everyone says it's extraordinary! All young artists (much younger than me) have an Ipad and use procreate for their artworks on Instagram. I think it's great to be able to take PBB's work wherever I go, I don't just say traveling or away from home but also ... on the balcony XD and I would like to try the new tools that everyone is talking about.
-A new computer, mine is an ASUS (year 2009) X53s, 8 GB Memory RAM, 500 GB HDD (5400 RPM), Windows 7, Intel CORE i7 2670 QM (2.20 GHZ), GPU graphic card Nvidia GT 540 M 2GB.
And I ask you to recommend a new PC because I do not understand anything XD
Help me in the choice when I have a budget, I hope soon because I am always afraid that this computer will explode overnight. It doesn't have to be a laptop.
Obviously I won't be able to buy the whole first month, but I will be able to buy these things in a year if I keep $ 1500 a month.
But I also want to tell you another Goal, very important, and make a confession.
I don't have a driving license.
I know, it's terrible, until today I managed to survive but at 40 I can't take it anymore. I need to take a driving license and a car to be free, autonomous, safe.
But so far I had no money to do it, because of the mortgage. You have to pay the driving school, taxes, the car (even if used), gasoline, maintenance...is really expensive.
I made an estimate and determined that I will be able to start driving school reaching the goal of $ 2000 a month, then I can save the money to buy a car and be able to keep it!
This is the goal that will change my life, and I promise to update you on everything!
Let me know what you think of these goals.
Thank you!
Vanessa

I am ecstatic that our sponsorship goes directly to you as the artist now. I'm saddened by the fact your previous endevours didn't result in the financial stability that you required. Really hope we can keep up on the goals!

2020-05-18 16:07:50 +0000 UTCVanessa I'm really sorry to hear about the mortgage situation. :'( I take your word about the contract you have with the bank. And I fully understand what you are saying....Again I'm sorry to hear about that. :'< But I am happy though that your goal of $1000 a month is reached and I hope it stays that way too. :') As for your new goals (I'll talk about the $1,500 goal): I think that's a splendid idea! :D I've seen a LOT of artist (that use patreon) that usually have that "upgrade my equipment" around the amount you suggested, Vanessa. ^_^ And I think the things you'd buy at that tier are reasonable items to buy too. ^-^ From what you told us about your computer specs, that's really not that bad. (✿◠‿◠) But I can understand your reasoning for wanting to upgrade to newer hardware. lol If you need help with finding a good affordable computer to do your work, I'd be glad to help you out, Vanessa! :DDD (After all that's my job as an IT technician. XD) And about your $2000 goal: I think this is reasonable too. (◠‿◠✿) With the recent pandemic going on, I totally understand why you'd want a car. :o And not to mention the freedom of not being reliant on the public transportation system. So I can see this being a reasonable goal to have. ^_^

2020-05-18 02:31:20 +0000 UTCThe best thing I can say is do what makes you happy. There is no point in doing something you don't want to do or don't enjoy doing. It makes a something chore and it shouldn't be. You only live once, enjoy the interval, and live everyday like its your last. I do believe those goals are perfectly obtainable. Keep doing what you are doing and want to do and we are all sure things will fall into place.

2020-05-17 22:15:02 +0000 UTCI think that these are all very believable and achievable goals for you. After all the joy you've bought to us throughout the years through PBB, you deserve at least some level of financial security. I'll be here to pitch in no matter what.

2020-05-17 18:56:26 +0000 UTCVanessa, I too wish you the best in these upcoming years. If I ever have the chance in my financial situation becoming better, I will do what I can to assist you. For years, you have given us the most wonderful and entertaining comics I have ever seen. I love the Victorian era and I want to be able to enjoy these comics. I also want to be able to know that you are not having to struggle and worry about your finances, technology, and your bank's refusal to assist you. I am also saddened and upset by how Ronald lied, deceived, and procrastinated about the goals he promised you.

2020-05-17 15:43:08 +0000 UTCI wish you the very best, in the coming months and years. Since rebooting PBB, here on Patreon, the beauty of it has grown in leaps and bounds. You've shared much with us, your creative process, your life, the things you like to do and hope to do. I truly hope the goals you seek will one day come within reach, because you have shown us that you are a wonderful, creative, and fun person. :D Not to mention quite pretty. ;)
