EDIT: POLL ENDED

Thanks to all those who have commented, you all agree to keep the original version of the dialogues because I really care about your opinion, so I will keep it all this way!

I've read all your comments, are accurate and satisfactory, thanks to everyone for the attention and the time that you've dedicated to me in a moment of doubt!  :)

The new pag.09 is finished :D but I took advantage, while doing the lettering, to edit pag.08 because one of you had suggested me to write "prostitution" instead of "sex" that is more generic .

So let me know if you agree, so page 8 and 9 will be updated together   :)

I definitely vote against "prostitution". While accurate, I don't think Dorian would be so blunt. I think he's use more flowery language.

actually it occurs to me that "excess and debauchery" is exactly how victorians might have labelled Bon Bon.. and it is accurate to how the town runs in the story. it is a place where nearly all your desires can be pursued to the fullest.

you could use "debauchery".. that being a common victorian term for the sorts of activities ones gets up to in Bon Bon, and is a term that more or less is still understood today. though since 'debauchery' means to indulge in sensual pleasures, it might be a bit redundant. of course you could replace both words with that and get the idea across. i would avoid using "sex" or even 'prostitution' because Victorian period culture was loath to discuss such things openly.. prostitutes were "women of negotiable virtue" or simple "loose women", and they had a whole slew of bizarre slang terms to refer to sex, sex acts, and the related body parts. it was a bizarre juxtaposition, in that a culture that was so fixated on avoiding discussing sex also was so obsessed with having it.

My vote for pleasure and sex

I think the question should be, what representation of BonBon are you looking for? Sex is a very broad term, encompassing a number of sexual activities including prostitution. While prostitution specifies selling sex as a business. It's true that prostitution is an open and large part of BonBon, particularly at the Delight Castle, however, it's been shown that it is not the sole sexual activity in BonBon. The previous issues portrayed BonBon as a city where sexuality is a welcomed and even celebrated aspect of a person's life. Sex is a natural thing and not something to be ashamed of or shunned. Using the word “sex” gives a relaxed and casual attitude in the description of BonBon. Using “prostitution” conveys an image of controlled, even restricted sexuality in the town due to its specific meaning. If I remember correctly, the openness towards sex came about after the founding of the town, as a result of the ideals it was founded on. Using the word “prostitution” implies that the town markets sex as a major commodity, as if it was founded around selling sex, rather than accepts and embraces it. You should also consider how the character describing BonBon views the town. Do they see the town as just a place to buy sex, or a town where one has the opportunity to explore and embrace their sexual interests? My personal opinion is that you should stick to the original text.

I personally prefer the word "sex" in that sentence. It's a word that I find a bit more light and casual, as in people having fun in Bon Bon and many sexy ways. I think it fits better with into what Dorian is describing and the way he talks about it. Prostitution is generally a more mature subject in my opinion, and it's something I'd associate with something a bit more explicit. It's all just my personal view of cpurse. I think it also depends on how much focus there will be on the prostitutes in this new comic. If the Delight Castle plays an important role in the new comic, then it makes more sense to mention it.

AWESOME! I'm glad to hear page 9 is done. ^-^ As for the change of text: I understand what everyone is saying, and either one works for me. :) I know it's a noncommittal answer; sorry about that. @-@ But it's the truth. Sex is one of the key features of PBB, and the word itself doesn't carry any negative stigma. :o Especially reading PBB (legacy) chapter 3 where there seems to be sex just for fun. o///o However, prostitution does fit as well since there are a lot of courtesans in BonBon. :) Not to mention, the word "prostitution" doesn't set up new readers to think that PBB-Next is just another XXX comic/doujin. The reboot has adult content, but no explicit scenes. :o Again I gave a noncommittal answer and I'm sorry about that, Vanessa. D: However, whatever word you use in page 8 works for me. :)

It's how anyone that is moral would describe it at first, but then would sled down to something that simple.

I think you mus keep Sex, because protitution have a very negative connotation

Yeah keep it with Sex. It works better for how its excepted in BonBon.

I think just saying sex works more with their personalities, if the old site's content is anything to go off of
