The other night I felt particularly happy to notice a new milestone reached, 700 usd ... oh my god ... THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D
I'm so close to my first big goal of 1000 usd per month, with which I will cover the mortgage of my home! :D
Maybe the wish on the votive wood tablet of PBB-Next, in the Japanese temple, is coming true!? :O I can not believe it! *-*
Thinking of it I've been also very nostalgic of Japan and ... the 90s, the time when I read my favorite manga and dreamed of becoming a comic artist!
So I've done this content for you done to thank you! :) Sorry if this is only a sketch in pen but I had little time to do it. This image means something for me.
The author who inspired me, my absolute favorite ever, is Rumiko Takahashi.
I watched Lum's anime, Urusei Yatsura, when I was a child in the 80s and I found it extremely interesting and fun! I wanted to learn how to draw and invent comic stories, sexy but also romantic, like that!
In the 90s I immediately bought the first manga that arrived translated in Italy of Urusei Yatsura and then Maison Ikkoku and Ranma 1/2!
I have to confess that I played the Ranma girl cosplay during 2 comicon! XD
I don't know If I have a pic somewhere because at that time I had not a camera :( , all mine I mean, my father had one but he did not lend it to me for the comicon. But I still have the costume! I was not wearing a wig. I remember that I cutted my long hair like a boy, yes, and I asked the hairdresser to leave the pigtail to make a braid! So I painted them red with one hair spray. They were my real hair !! XD
I went to school suddenly with the hair short as a boy and a little braid LOL and this thing lasted ... 2 years ... Then I decided to make them grow again. Think about how I was a fan of this series.
I was a fan of all the characters of Rumiko Takahashi, and I did not think I would become a furry artist, it happened really quickly and without warning that I was drawing anthropomorphic animals. It happened that I was drawing both fan art of this anime and my OC charcters. So...I believe that I was influenced by the anatomy of the bodies and the eyes of these characters.
I made this fan art after about ... more than 20 years since I've made the last one of this series! This one dates back to 1994, and was uploaded on Deviantart in 2007 https://www.deviantart.com/vanessasan/art/cell-shampoo-67068644
So it was fun and exciting!! ^_^
Take this big file in the attachment as a special thank to let me continue to drawing with your support. A smaller version will be upload on Deviantart later.
Thanks again!
