Thank you for another goal! Blog Post.

The other night I felt particularly happy to notice a new milestone reached, 700 usd ... oh my god ... THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D

I'm so close to my first big goal of 1000 usd per month, with which I will cover the mortgage of my home! :D

Maybe the wish on the votive wood tablet of PBB-Next, in the Japanese temple, is coming true!? :O I can not believe it! *-*

Thinking of it I've been also very nostalgic of Japan and ... the 90s, the time when I read my favorite manga and dreamed of becoming a comic artist!

So I've done this content for you done to thank you! :) Sorry if this is only a sketch in pen but I had little time to do it. This image means something for me.

The author who inspired me, my absolute favorite ever, is Rumiko Takahashi.

I watched Lum's anime, Urusei Yatsura, when I was a child in the 80s and I found it extremely interesting and fun!  I wanted to learn how to draw and invent comic stories, sexy but also romantic, like that!

In the 90s I immediately bought the first manga that arrived translated in Italy of Urusei Yatsura and then Maison Ikkoku and Ranma 1/2!

I have to confess that I played the Ranma girl cosplay during 2 comicon! XD

I don't know If I have a pic somewhere because at that time I had not a camera :( , all mine I mean,  my father had one but he did not lend it to me for the comicon. But I still have the costume! I was not wearing a wig. I remember that I cutted my long hair like a boy, yes, and I asked the hairdresser to leave the pigtail to make a braid!  So I painted them red with one hair spray. They were my real hair !! XD

I went to school suddenly with the hair short as a boy and a little braid LOL and this thing lasted ... 2 years ... Then I decided to make them grow again. Think about how I was a fan of this series.

I was a fan of all the characters of Rumiko Takahashi, and I did not think I would become a furry artist, it happened really quickly and without warning that I was drawing anthropomorphic animals. It happened that I was drawing both fan art of this anime and my OC charcters. So...I believe that I was influenced by the anatomy of the bodies and the eyes of these characters.

I made this fan art after about ... more than 20 years since I've made the last one of this series! This one dates back to 1994, and was uploaded on Deviantart in 2007 https://www.deviantart.com/vanessasan/art/cell-shampoo-67068644

So it was fun and exciting!! ^_^

Take this big file in the attachment as a special thank to let me continue to drawing with your support. A smaller version will be upload on Deviantart later.

Thanks again!

What an amazing blog post, Vanessa! ^-^ There’s an old saying in my house hold. While wishing/praying/or doing ritual is one thing, your wish will only come true when you put your maximum effort into your dream. I (personally) believe that your good luck is coming true because you’re showing effort into making your dream come true Vanessa. :) Unlike most people that will wish for good fortune and do nothing about it to achieve it, you are showing to the gods of luck (at least in Japan since you asked the good luck at that Shinto Shrine) that you’re doing your best to achieve your dream. Which I think (in exchange) is why you’re getting so much good news that’s happening on your Patreon page! :D I told you months ago, and I still say it today, that you’re hard effort will be rewarded, Vanessa. ^o^ And I think the gods will grant your wish (hopefully) for you to achieve your $1000 milestone before the end of the year (or at least get to 100 supporters on your Patreon page). :3 I first want to say: You cosplayed as (female) Ranma!? O_O That’s so cool! X3 While there might not be any pictures of your cosplay, I’m sure all of us (your patreons) believe that your cosplay was super cool. :) I mean, this sounds like you cosplayed Ranma back in the 90’s so that’s already cool in my book. ^_^ And you even had your hair like Ranma’s for two years! OoO That’s commitment right there! :D Now about your fanart: WOW! You drew that Akane (with P-chan) with just using pens!!?? O.O That’s SUPER, VANESSA! ^w^ I love it (and I know your other members do too)! :3 Such a treat for the season. ;) Also, you drew that Shampoo back in 1994!!?? O-O HOLY COW!!!! That art piece still holds up to this day, Vanessa! ^-^ You know, I never really thought about it (until I read this post) but your artwork does has that inspiring style to Ms. Takahashi’s artwork. :D When I saw your furry artwork back in 2009, I knew it had that anime vibe (compared to other furry artwork at the time). I just could never put my finger on what your art style reminded me of. :o But now, my (almost) 10 year question has been answered. ^-^ Better late than never, am I right? XD Well, I apologize for another long post, Vanessa (and to any other brave soul that read this). lol Again, congrats Vanessa on reaching another milestone, I’m happy to support you, and I can’t wait to see you achive your BIG milestone in the future. :D
