When I go to the mall, my main purpose is to photograph all the references that can be used for my art and inspiration.
My shopping is taking photos.
I do not know if is the same for you but the Italian shops are very cared about the fashion showcases.
Especially in men's shops the showcases that are themed for gentleman, very classic, vintage, stylish. It is like a set of scenography and props, a lot of original vintage props!
Typewriters, old telephones, antique radios, gramophone turntables! I do not have to go to a museum to find references for my comic book!
Also it is better than search references on Internet because you can see with your eyes all the details in every direction and even touch the props if you ask kindly .
It happened to me for the suitcase of William.
William's old suitcase (from PBB legacy) was ugly ... and always different. Because I have not seen well from the photos on Internet how the locks worked.
When I saw a REAL 1890 suitcase at the mall... wow! I asked kindly at the salesman if I could touch it and see how it worked XD

I'm sure I miss a lot of such details in the comic, but I really love seeing where you get your ideas from. Such details are part of the overall appeal of the Bon Bon world. I also really liked the video. It has some nice ASMR elements :)

2018-09-19 13:55:51 +0000 UTCYes, at the mall XD, you can listen the audio in the video ( it was added the link at the post but I am afraid it is scatting, or broke... if so let me know). The vintage objects are elements of embellishment, I believe it is because in Italy we have a lot of old things, really cheap, to find in the antiquaries. If you comes in Italy it is full of markets of antiques in the week end, you can find a lot of things really old and cheap. Because this is an old country LOL!
