the reason that light novel fans are so mad is because they skipped basically every event of the festival. They skipped all the events where kiyo tried to be average, they skipped Horikita and Ibuki racing, they skipped the tug of war event, as well as Kei's small victory in the piggyback joust where she takes down Ichinose. Lastly, they skipped the event where Horikita got injured which showed that she kept looking back at the other girl because she was calling Horikitas name. This makes it look like Horikita was trying to find a chance to injure the girl because the cameras do not pick up sound.
2022-08-04 19:16:02 +0000 UTCThe LN's are still ongoing in their 2nd Year currently at Vol 4 or 5, I forget. Season 1 covered 3 volumes, Season 2-3 will be covering the rest of Year 1. Regarding content, alot more seems to be cut in this season compared to the first season. The first 3 novels didn't have much going on anyway, that's why season 1 still seems decently paced even with all the minor cuts of plot details and characterization. The volumes that season 2 is covering is where the more juicy in depth stuff happens with character developments, plot progression, grander events with higher stakes and more entangled schemes among the classes going on. Season 1 mostly focused on Class D's internal struggles. That's why even with the same amount of volumes being covered, it feels alot more rushed. Cos the amount of content with each new volume is growing, so the seasons still having the same episode count doesn't work. The anime planning committee is crazy for thinking they can cover so much content in so little episodes.
