Yeah.. I mean mostly I try to block the cross, but while doing that, if I fail, a striker is free and my cb is either late to the party or just stands behind the striker. Even when switching to cb you’re never gonna get that ball anymore as it goes fast and the striker is positioned better.. however.. when I forget about the side and try to cover the center with CB instead they don’t cross it but do enter the box at the goalline and score a pullback goal. Those are still so hard to defend for me. Ever since they were OP in 2016 or whatever. I find it hard to score them but get them against so often. And some people just play on those..

The key is to defend the situation first, so you run back and defend that situation then you switch, that is the key, or are you referring to a different situation? you can also go in for the tackle after its safe not before

Even if I notice I am better and get chances that guy has Ronaldo and one counter is a goal. Next he is just parked. It is not even fun anymore this way.

I play against really good teams in div 7. So I’m like. Yay. These people must suck more than I do if they’re up against me with that team. But they all beat me. It’s 5 or 6 loss vs 1 win. I go nuts. And all counters or when I play pure defence i get so much pressure and that goal on the goalline with pullback. I don’t know man. I’m trying to do all your advice and play just turn away and keep it simple but there is no way for a few weeks now.

Thanks for the saving tips. I keep getting countered out. I can run back with a defender but then always one of the other attackers will be free in front of the goal. If they cannot counter they go to the goalline and pull back to in front of the goal. My players stand there like toddlers. It is hard man. Div 7.
