Here is episode 2 everyone! I've shut off ads until tomorrow. We've shot a few things this week I'm looking forward to sharing with everyone. LOTS of fun projects in the works at various stages. Both with the reaction videos and more original content.

As always, thank you all so much for the constant support!

(Early Access) MGFW What If...Episode 2

Comments

Hi Holden, I've been watching your YouTube and finally signed up for Patreon! It'll be cool to watch you and Jen play this best MCU character bracket tournament. I think I know who your favorites are but watching you have to choose between the picks would be fun! https://www.uwufufu.com/games/60380e664f33c82817db8ad6/rank

When are we ever gonna see you react to the MCU trailers and celebrating the movies?

Jamie Tartt

Great video, love your reactions. Have to take it with a grain of salt, but IMDB says Chadwick Bozeman appears in 4 episodes of What If… so not sure this is his final appearance. Given the ending, I think the point was that although it seems like everything was better in this universe (cured by Cha Cha’s charisma), things still end up bad because there were no guardians of the galaxy to help Quill oppose Ego (the implication being in this universe, Ego wins).

Nick

I agree that you should watch the new Eternals trailer

Holden! You and Jen gotta react to the new Eternals trailer and the other trailers too! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I remember some comments about Peggy post-serum being seemingly more powerful than Steve post-serum in the last episode, but the power levels in this episode where so weird.

LeFlaneur

This episode was way better than the first, and I really liked the first. Most tend to agree on this, it seems. Also, there might have been minor conflict and Universal peace and whatnot, but all of that might be short lived due to Ego at the end. T'Challa might have saved everyone in the short term, but Quill being Star-Lord is implied to be better for the long term. Also, nobody commenting on how The Collector apparently killed poor Korg and was using his arm (I think?) as a weapon.

Nick Jobe

I would agree with most comments that this episode was better than the first, when that one was just the same movie but with roles reversed, this one actually shows how things can change with one decision. Second the fact that this was way before the Thanos we meet in avengers 2012, so he was just about to start on his quest, he had an idea and a plan and the reputation of Star Lord, who had saved planets at that point already, got Thanos to listen that there was another way. Thats why you dont see gamora because he hadn’t invaded her planet yet, he had only taken Nebula but had just started in his ways as he had only replaced her eye up to this point. The collector is the same thing, since he filled the void as the baddy of the universe, his collection was way beyond what it was in GOG1 so he enhanced himself and his weapons, he clearly at some point beat the avengers and took their weapons n beat Asgard, even Hela, so why wouldn’t he be this powerful. If the black order are working for him, he must be powerful. I really liked this episode, I think being open to a universe full of possibilities where yeah in one if then Thanos can turn good, will help with the rest of the series going forward. Still love yas videos but just my 2 cents.

The comics what if's are almost exactly as wacky and out there as this series idk what people were expecting lol

King Uma is life

If you look at the poster for What If? Gamora basically becomes the evil Thanos.

toshtao

Literally with infinite universes marvel has made it so you can barely criticise, if in infinite universes thanos is ALWAYS evil, then circumstance and choice means nothing

DANIEL PEEDAH

Maybe a few things in this episode seem far fetched, but in this series especially I would much prefer that rather than them playing it safe

Jack Grennan

I really enjoyed this episode far more than I was expecting to. I felt like it was a great tribute to both Chadwick and T'Challa. I think at this point in the timeline, Thanos wasn't quite at the point of no return like when he sent Loki in 2012. And when he fought Hulk, he already had the Power Stone so it makes sense that he wouldn't be as powerful, and maybe even not as trained, now as he was in Infinity War. The multiverse has split open and the possibilities are truly endless now. I'm surprised we didn't see Gamora, Rocket, Groot, or the chick with the antenna lol actually now that I think about it, for Gamora at least it makes sense why we didn't see her; Thanos wasn't desecrating planets so there wouldn't have been an opportunity for him to take her. Anyway, overall I'm pretty much on the same page as Jen. I enjoyed this episode a little more than the first, and I'm excited for the next one!

You seem to much in Raimi Spider-Man mode to enjoy this lol. I think you forget who T’challa is as a character. This episode actually took place in 2008 6 years before the events of Gotg 1 in the main MCU timeline. Thanos had the power stone when he beat Hulk. He’s clearly not as sharp and determined as he is in our timeline. What specifically keeps Thanos from being affected by electricity? This was just a great episode that showed how truly special T’challa is as a person. He leaves an impact on everyone. We don’t know what happened in that conversation with Thanos.

Jamie Tartt

This episode was well received, better than the last from what I've seen, the lack of conflict was part of the point, T'challa as Starlord was the ignition of a form of peace throughout the galaxy. we don't know exactly what went down to change Thanos's mind, but its not that hard to believe that it could happen, thats the premise of the series, what if things went differently. I can agree the show has a bit of cheesiness which I personally am not all that fond of but when it comes to characters or events being different from the main timeline (even drastically different) it may be best to just sit back, accept it, and go for the ride because in a vast multiverse of endless possibilities its not all that unbelievable.
