I understood it as during the blip, people were more inclined to help each other and seek answers together across borders. Borders were not as important in the face of what had just happened. So they came together to survive and try to rebuild the world the best they could. Hence the slogan “One World One People”. So with all the “black and white” of this show, to them it’s not so simple and their main objective is to do away with arbitrary borders. Basically they don’t want to go back to “leaders” telling them how to live and to whom they owe an allegiance. Kind of mirroring the relationship Falcon and Bucky have with the new “Cap” and how the government made that decision. I could write a thesis about this series, it is so nuanced and good. Even if the original story line was changed, the writers were very invested and conscious of what they were doing. Great reaction as always.

I believe the flag smashers agenda is to do away with country boarders and making sure that everyone is treated equally no matter what side of what boarder you / they are on. during the blip that was how things were but afterward people went back to drawing lines in the sand and political parties picked up where they left off, while trying to redraw those country boarders that were there before the blip (snap).

I believe the original story involved the flag smashers and a virus. Then covid 19 came out and they scrapped the story. A big issue with fans has been the ambiguity of the flag smashers agenda.
