2025-03-07 19:46:45 +0000 UTCthe reason why mr. compress makes the comment "what a weird thing to say, he doesn't belong to anyone" when deku says "give him back", is because in the japanese original, deku is unnaturally possessive of bakugo. this is “proven” by the fact that the phrase that deku uses in the japanese original version ("返せよ!/kaseyo!") is almost the same as deku saying, “give me back my kacchan to ME!” (an emphasis being placed on the possessive implication of the word)- the "yo" in "kaeseyo" tends to be used to add emphasis on the possession. based on information i've gathered, seen, and heard over the years. i am not an expert in japanese by any means, feel free to correct if im wrong!

It's so emotional Also, J&j I need you to listen to the desperation in bakugos voice when he says "don't come deku" its heartbreaking and really shows bakugos outward persona is just a really thick wall. Inside he *is* and can be a just another scared kid underneath the bravado and aggression. That line gets me , every single time.

Each time they show it, Bakugo’s voice gets more and more aggressive sounding. Basically showing how deku’s image/memory of Bakugo is so used to him being abrasive and combative.
