Hello J&J hope you guys are doing good The way they wrote the whole thing about Killua's limitations in fighting was beautiful because you really never knew how early on Illumi planted the needle in his head, and the whole time it felt like not just a mental block that he couldn't get over but rather a physical real thing that was preventing him, and that moment that he just stood there almost begging his own body to do something and accepting the chance of losing his life instead of letting his dear friend Gon be attacked, it's so beautiful all together This episode is one of my favorite in the show but unfortunately it is tainted by Palm and the writers decision to do a whole episode on a date between a 22 year-old and a 12 year-old, it's just plain disgusting and I still don't know why it was necessary

2024-10-23 03:35:04 +0000 UTCI finally caught up to you guys in terms of hxh ep. Watching this with you guys is definitely like me reliving my childhood. I remembered watching hxh in 5-6th grade, thinking it was going to be one of those cartoons similar to Pokémon, but boy was I wrong. I enjoyed the build up and complexity of this show. Feels like there’s nothing quite like it. Being a kid, I’d rather watch anime in English, but there wasn’t the English version of this yet, so I had to read. And of course this show in terms of the sophistication of the plot and wordings definitely took its toll on me as a kid. But somehow I managed to understand almost everything. Except for knuckles apr nen thingy, my reaction pretty much was the same as you guys. Anywho, I can’t wait to see more reactions of y’all in the future. Also my profile pic is basically me while watching you guys.

2024-10-23 01:21:54 +0000 UTCTo answer your question, yes the implant in killua’s head was a limiter in the sense of his mental strength and his ability to have agency over his himself when fighting and in the sense of his power and physical strength because those qualities are intertwined especially for killua, which means he is much stronger and more capable than before in all aspects. Like i said this is one of the many moments I was referring to in my original comment that you guys read and it doesn’t stop here, especially for killua. Great reaction

This episode had me going on a rollercoaster, I was like: Come on Killua you can do it, aww Gon is so cute, Killua please don't give up, I hope men out there are taking notes from Gon he's smooth, No Killua fight it fight it don't make me cry too, I just hope Palm doesn't go crazy by what Gon is telling her, yes Killua free yourself, illumi you despicable manipulative horrible human being die!, Finally true vicious Killua is born now please run and save Gon from Palm, Gon you can relax now you've just been dumped, hahahaha it was so funny and I remember the first time I watched it I laughed so hard. 2024-10-22 21:16:22 +0000 UTCKillua removing that needle is like one of my favorite moments of the whole show, maybe it's because he is my favorite character but just the fact that this whole show he has had this thing in his head hindering his mentality is so crazy and we don't realize it until now. It makes you think back to during the hunter exams when killua saw his brother and had that whole hypnotizing moment, it was probably because of this needle. Also, it must have been a great relief for him to know that the needle is what was putting those thoughts of running away in his head and not his own mind. I think he was feeling guilty about it for awhile now, or at least since Bisky pointed it out to him that he might leave gon behind one day.

2024-10-22 21:03:15 +0000 UTCThey made it hard to see, but when killua opened his hand after jamming it into his head, he pulled out a very thin needle, which was planted by illumi to force him to run away if he ever felt threatened, so killua would stay alive to be controlled by Illumi another time, since killua is said to have some of the best talent in the Zoldyk Family Tree
