2024-10-14 04:16:54 +0000 UTCi'm glad ichikawa is growing on ya, jared! he's definitely one of my personal favorites from this show. while some of the other officers are cocky, loud, and/or mega competive, ichikawa is as you said, humble and very reserved and i think the only person he competes with is himself. he's the type of person who reflects on their perfomance and then learns not only from his own mistakes but from others' mistakes as well which is why i think he's improving so fast. he's completely focused on his new career and the only person he is worried about besting is the person he was yesterday. to top it all off he's an exceptional friend and a kind person. to me, the outro is ichikawa's song. nobody's got you the way ichikiwa does!

2024-10-14 04:14:21 +0000 UTCI think what Hoshina said to Kafka about not getting close to other officers because something could happen to them wasn't foreshadowing anything ill on Hoshina's part, but I think rather warning Kafka that you can lose people in this job. People are gonna die fighting kaiju and its a common stance to keep to yourself when death is right around the corner so you don't feel immense overwhelming grief when you lose someone you know.

2024-10-13 16:29:06 +0000 UTCThe similarities you see in Haikyuu and Kaiju no 8 especially in character design could be due to the fact that they are both produced by the same company. Ugh I love this story so much even when the characters are gently bullying each other there's no animosity they feel like siblings almost. Even episodes like this where it's arguably just filler are full of heartwarming and funny moments. Next week will be episode six which I think would make a great point to binge from and would definitely free up enough weeks for FMAB between now and solo leveling season two 🤷♀️ just saying 😉
