independent... hitting the nail on the head again, if you remember how Hisoka determined Nen's type during the fight with Gon

OMAGAAAAH

There were 3 indications that Kurapika has learned nen within this episode. 1. When he did the Water divination test. The water divination test requires you to have learned Ren for it to be effective. You also see Kurapika's aura as he does the water divination test of course, indicating that his nodes are open. 2. As you mentioned, when he visited the agency and could see the woman's aura this time. This also possibly means that he has learned the Ren subspecialty "Gyo" if the woman was using "In" to add an additional layer of difficulty in seeing her nen, making it harder for new Hunters to get hired. At the very least, this shows that the agency's minimum requirements include the 4 basic disciplines of nen and that Kurapika has mastered them like Gon and Killua did. 3. The chains on his hand. As you mentioned, as Kurapika is a conjurer and has made it clear his goal was to have conjured chains, it seems pretty clear that they are in fact conjured nen chains. Anyways, all this to say, it was already stated by Wing (when he told Gon and Killua that they had mastered the basics), that Kurapika in addition to Hanzo had also passed the secret Hunter exam (meaning they had learned nen). He also mentioned that Pokkle was at the time struggling with ren and that Leorio was studying for the medical school exam.

Hisoka’s case is quite complicated so this comment might be a bit long. I will try to shorten it as much as possible though. In HxH we do see Hisoka get sexually aroused many times in the series. The question is what exactly gets him aroused and if that man is a pedo. (Spoiler alert for those who don’t want to read all that - I don’t know hehe, it’s too ambiguous) First of all, many people say that Hisoka gets sexually aroused by fighting either strong or promising opponents but some may think that it’s a thing only in HxH and you know what’s interesting? It’s not! It is absolutely real and happens even to the most famous fighters in the world! In Joe Rogan’s podcast Mike Tyson confessed that he gets sexually aroused by fighting and hurting his opponents. He doesn’t like the fact that he thinks this way so he tries to keep it under control and that might be the huge difference between him and Hisoka. (Here is the source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17lXrRkpiic he starts talking about it at 1:06) Hisoka, unlike Tyson, embraces his instincts. Everything he is doing is for his own pleasure so It’s only natural that he seeks the fights that can give him as much pleasure as possible. He enjoys crushing his opponents but only if they are strong. Kastro was strong but not enough to make Hisoka truly excited, that’s why we didn’t see Hisoka’s ding dong up. Kastro was simply too weak to make Hisoka aroused. Gon is a bit different. He’s extremely weak compared to Kastro, let alone Hisoka but he has a huge potential. Hisoka notices that Gon may one day get strong enough to give Hisoka an exciting fight that he seeks and even imagining the power that Gon may acquire later on makes Hisoka excited. Strange and dirty but quite understandable, given the fact that many fighters in real life experience the same thing. Ok, sure but why is Hisoka focusing so much on Gon and not that much on Killua or the rest of the crew? I thought about it for quite a while and the most probable answer I found is that Hisoka sees the similarities between him and Gon. It’s a wild assumption but please, bear with me! As I stated before, Hisoka acts purely on instincts. He loves the excitement that he gets from fighting. But is Gon any different? Heavens Arena ark revealed that Gon, similarly to Hisoka, enjoys fighting strong opponents. I wouldn’t say that he gets aroused during these fights but he definitely enjoys the trill. For him it’s like a drug. He’s scared but excited at the same time. The mix of such strong emotions might be addicting. On the other hand Killua also likes fighting but he’s a lot more cautious about it. I don’t think he would be willing to fight someone who he simply cannot win against just for the trill. It’s not in Killua’s nature. The difference between Gon and Killua in that aspect is that Killua is focused more on self preservation and Gon relies a lot more on instincts. For example: Gon doesn’t care if he’s injured in the fight, it’s not that relevant to him. After Gon’s first nen battle Killua scolded him for being too reckless. And that recklessness of him led to Gon suffering a lot of injuries. Similarly, Hisoka was able to sacrifice both of his arms just to win against Kastro. Now, is Hisoka a pedo? I don’t really know. I searched for interviews with the HxH author where he might address this question but I did not find anything that might serve as a clear answer. There are scenes in the oncoming episodes that make me think that Hisoka might be a pedo but in the end of the day Hisoka is incredibly hard (*wink*wink*) to understand. I don’t think even the author himself knows what’s exactly going on inside Hisoka’s mind. That’s what Togashi says about our beloved clown in one of his interviews: “To: How much you can bring out his whimsy is very important. When I want him to do something the most is when he is least likely to move for me. It’s easier to just step back and not think about anything - then he will move on his own. It’s the same way right now in the main story - I just create the surroundings, environment, battle set-ups, and leave Hisoka’s movements up to Hisoka. Then his character will burst out for me.” He’s just that kind of a character. It’s impossible to control him, even for the author himself! I would also like to add one last thing. As someone stated in the comments before, in HxH world the morality is slightly different than ours. Killing others whether it’s at Hunter exam or at Heavens Arena is not seen as morally bad. In our world, in our current society it’s considered evil. In HxH world it’s completely normal. In episodes that you will soon watch there are multiple morally questionable, confusing and at times disgusting scenes or behaviors that in the HxH universe are treated as completely normal. I don’t think it’s a bad thing though. Personally, I don’t like when the show is trying to moralize its audience. We all should think for ourselves, in my humble opinion it’s a sign of maturity. If anyone here wants to debate me, please do so. Just like Gon and Hisoka love fighting, I love intellectual debates! SCHWING!!!

BILLIE (Hairy Harry)

That's right 😲 he would be so depressed if something happened to his rival

The world of manga writing is hyper competitive and has tight deadlines. Hunter x Hunter remixing of real world things (shuffling the world map, York New city, jennie instead of yen, etc) was a way for the author to create a new world in a very quick manner. The original writing system in HxH is also just a remix of japanese writing.

Hisoka's obsession with Gon kind of reminds me of Jokers obsession with Batman

Jinx's Baby Daddy(Brandon)

OMG sameee!! Joker is also my favorite! And #2 goes to Deadpool and wolverine lol I think the reason I started liking Hisoka off the bat is his joker vibes

Kenken

The Joker imo is the greatest villain in comic book history, and like the Joker, Hisoka is fascinating and interesting, he gives me major Joker vibes with his appearance and in the way they think

Jinx's Baby Daddy(Brandon)

It makes me happy to know that there's quite a few Hisoka lovers. Hisoka is my #1 and Killua is a very close #2. Now....I'm not gonna defend his 👀 *ehem* 🫢....tastes....but I still love everything else about his character nonetheless. Can't wait to know who you're favorite character will be at the end of the show Alsoooo! Y'all should check out this cosplayer @villain_lady on Instagram or you can even Google her veeeryyyy accurate Hisoka cosplay (IMO) and she's also got a Sukuna cosplay. I swear it's the best one I've seen. I love it when a cosplayer truly makes a character come to life.

Kenken

I forgot to mention that Kurapika is my favorite character in this show! ❤️

Patty

Damn kurapika is intense as hell lol

taetaebear01 (Lindsey E.)

"is he a fantom troupe ?" is the new "he is a titan ?", these guy always suspisous on evryone that kill me x) i wont confirm or affimr anything here tho, but i always find it hilarious to see them being that suspisous since my default mood is to not assume anything then if someone act suspisious i start asking question, their default mood seems to be suspisous of everyone, even if they have never done anything sus, until they prove themself to be trustworthy, if someone is kinda neutral or anywhere in between suspicious and trustworthy, then the poor character could end up never be trusted, however thing are not alway 0 or 100 even more when we talk about people (or character) poeple arent binary :x

noakey harding

Holy new characters batman there's a mole person in an eggplant suit and the anime snoop Dogg with his dobermans 😂 And jordan I believe you said it right, Shingen-ryu Fun fact, in Japan there's a battlefield sword martial art called Shingan-Ryu, but in HxH, Shingen-ryu is a style of kung-fu mastered by Neterro
