I think I heard some of Haikyuu songs played during the match with Germany too when Japan got the point but this time with Argentina they played it after the match when Japan won! I sang along "Tobe fly~ high~♪" 😚 here is the link of short video https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-GPLROI5_H/?igsh=MTF6YWdnenFxOWc5 Sorry for my rant below, you can just ignore it but I wanna write it 🤣 I think Japan team is always fun to watch because they keep connecting the ball, just like what they did with Argentina (but Argentina also connects the ball too!). USA is also fun to watch, especially their total defense. I think USA's block is one of the greatest in the world even though they're not as tall as European teams. Look at how fast they complete the block, at least 2 blockers always there when the spikers attack, no matter where the ball is set or how fast it is. Their middles are not easy to be fooled by decoy, really good in read blocking, so it's kinda hard match for Japan, but Japan has many power players too these days, so I'm excited for the next match 🤟🏼

You want everything to be neutral, to look the same so that when you set there's no tell or clue on where it's going or how fast it'll be. Kageyama's form gives nothing away, so Tendo has to rely on the hints from just the spikers on where the ball's going. Tendo and Tsukki using what they see to arrive at different conclusions is my favorite parallel in these early matches.

2024-08-02 04:46:34 +0000 UTCoh semi is introduced! fun little fact, #3 on shiratorizawa (name semi eita) looks like suga and is supposed to be a parallel to him too in a way, since he's also a 3rd year setter/pinch server replaced by a younger setter, however for different reasons entirely. they'll briefly touch on it later on, so that's all i'll say for now but i really do like his character (and tendou's, they're my two favorites on this team). what i will say is they mistranslated what he said; in Japanese he told shirabu (the younger setter) to be mindful of WHEN to toss to Ushijima, meaning don't just depend on him. loving the reactions! 🫶

J&J great reaction, and I concur with you that Tendou and Hisoka have similar vibes, they both derive pleasure from bringing their opponents down and putting them in frustrating situations, that being said, Hisoka is on a whole other level of violence and depravity, so Tendou is a teddy bear in comparison. Hope to one day see you guys play volleyball, which position would you like to play or would suit you? A lot of the time they've studied how certain key players of the opposition take free kicks and make some probablility concepts in order to know where they should be diving to. Same thing happens with penalties. Ultimately there's a lot of chance but grinding out the uncertanties to the best of their abilities is part of the goalkeepers job. An example is Jordan Pickford, cameras zoomed in on his water bottle during the euros and it literally had a cheat sheet of the opponents telling him where to dive.

2024-08-01 17:41:43 +0000 UTCI'm a kinda a huge fan of Tendou. He might be a bit unhinged , but that's what makes him so entertaining. He's absolutely hilarious! I've got nearly half a wall covered with photos of him and Bokuto from a few years ago. If I wanted a friend group it would contain Bokuto,Tendou,Hinata and lev 😂. I feel like all of them would be a chaotic group if they were hanging out together.
