2024-03-09 15:05:17 +0000 UTCwow thats quick. ive watched the show with different subtitles that just translated the shinkansen as "train" and googling the distance from tokyo to miyagi i thought that they were traveling for basically half a day just for some practice matches. this makes more sense

We are so proud of her as well 😍👏🏻🥳 Jared's "do cats eat crows?"- Google's answers are yes they can, and even hunt bigger ones like seagulls. But on the other hand crows exhibit "mobbing behaviour" where they have the ability to communicate amongst themselves and react, to attack other animals when needed. Both have different level intelligence in conclusion. Interesting, I must say. Still cracked me up when Jared said it though 🤣 Sometimes I wish there were bloopers for each episode, just for more laughs lol Looking forward to next week! Thank you J&J! 💜🙏💜🙏💜

2024-03-07 23:47:21 +0000 UTCOni in japanese folklore means demon or an ogre and is depicted to have an iron club as a weapon, you can google the images to see the visuals.. so Coach Nekomata is simply saying that Kageyama is the demon and Hinata is sort of his weapon that he uses.. but later on when Hinata started to open his eyes and tries to spike on his own, he then said that if Hinata masters those quick attacks without closing his eyes, then he wont be the demon's iron club anymore, both of them are gonna be just a pair of demons. Both equally skillful in attacking. I hope I was able to explain it well since English is not my mother tongue as well. Also, that soft tap technique that you like is called a "dump" or a "setter's dump" since it's usually the setter who uses this attack.. just imagine in the midst of an intense rally where everyone is on the edge and looking out on who will spike the ball, the setter then suddenly just dumps it over the net... oh I freakin LOVE those moments hahaha!!!! Seriously cant wait for you guys to get to those intense, nerve wracking battles!!!! On to the InterHigh we go!!!!!

If you are interested, I also typed out Hinata’s and Kageyama’s bios in a comment on Episode 4. Their favorite foods, current worries, and athletic stats as first-years are fun trivia.

I just wanted to drop a comment to express how much I’m enjoying both of your reactions to my favorite anime of all time 🥰 I’ve seen the entire series probably 10 times through at this point, and I always love seeing others reactions to it as they start their journey. I want to start off by saying that the comparison of Nekoma being a mature cat and Karasuno being a baby crow is such beautiful imagery and I’m glad that you guys caught that as well. There’s also a moment in the episode where Coach Ukai was talking about “pounding them with your power and speed” to which Tanaka responds with “in other words force them to surrender”. Hinata comments “that’s kind of villainous” and Ukai follows up with “villainous? That’s fine. Crows are sort of villainous aren’t they?” Literally one of my favorite moments!! Fun fact: The spiky brown haired kid who was following Hinata and spoke like him at the end and was jumping up and down- his name is Inuoka, inu in Japanese means “Dog” so it’s funny how even his personality is like a puppy yet he plays on a team of nekos, or cats. 😂 Side note: Tsukki is my favorite character in the series, but I can understand if you guys are still not too into him yet. I hope that you’ll grow to like him as the show goes on though. Also, Kuroo (Nekoma’s “rooster head” captain) is my other favorite character. I may sound like I am rambling and I apologize but I just had to express myself. I specifically joined your patreon because you were reacting to Haikyu!! Keep it up and can’t wait for the next drop! =^.^=

Don't know if you got the chance to look up Oni or if someone else has told you but they are Demon like Ogre/ Trolls. From my understanding Nekomata Sensei was saying Kageyama was the Oni and Hinata was his weapon but if Hinata develops his skill more, they will both be Oni. Do you think his experience as a coach helps him see the potential of players even if they have very little skill to begin with?

Info from google: Miyagi is located about 300 kilometers northeast of Tokyo, in the Tohoku region of Japan. Getting from Tokyo to Miyagi takes as little as 90 minutes by Shinkansen bullet train.
