For the mean girl with freckles at the start of the episode (the one who said she wants to marry Christa) most of the fanbase called her Freckles. Also, a suggestion in case you guys plan to watch the OVA episodes (they’re called OAD’s on Crunchyroll assuming that’s where you’re watching.) Ilse’s Notebook can be watched either after season 1 or some people prefer to watch it after season 2 episode 1. The Sudden Visitor and Distress can be watched pretty much whenever you want. They’re pretty fun episodes, but not vital to the plot. They just help you get to know the characters more. No Regrets parts 1 & 2 can be watched after season 1. The Lost Girls: Wall Sina Goodbye parts 1 & 2 can be watched after season 2. The Lost Girls: Lost in the Cruel World can be watched after season 3 episode 12.

fun fact about AOT author Hajime Isayama: I believe towards the later stages of his story (late season 3 early season 4) he was asked what he would do after writing AOT, and he said he would like to open/buy a hottub/spa where he can enjoy his time off. He said jokingly he would fill the spa with his readers tears after hurting them so much (alluding to the remainder of his story causing pain to his readers) The guy is a madman but a genius.

Some Mikasa trivia: Isayama modeled her look after a Japanese customer at an Internet cafe where he worked part time. The customer covered her face with a scarf and he found it endearing, so he sketched the customer on the spot and from that sketch Mikasa was born. Also, Mikasa was named after a Japanese battleship. Isayama shared it is good luck for an author to name a character after a battleship. It is supposed to bring fame to the author’s work.💜 Thanks for another episode!💜

SNK = "Shingeki No Kyojin", the Japanese name of the show. There is some Japanese wordplay in this title that doesn't translate well into English, but it won't become relevant for a long time so don't look into it for now. Once you finish Season 3 you can investigate that further.

Eren and Mikasa aren’t even in my top ten of favorite characters on this show, but this episode always makes me emotional anyway. Their bond was so strong and forged in such an intense way. That scene where he gives her the scarf and wraps it around her…😭😭😭. It’s a heartbreakingly beautiful scene. And I love that in this episode we find out it wasn’t just Mikasa always trying to protect Eren, but that Eren protected and rescued her as well. Like you said, it’s no wonder she felt such an attachment to him. 💔

Great reaction as usual, I enjoyed it very much. Others already answered some of the questions you had, I want to point out ages. Eren and Mikasa were 10 years old when the Titans attacked. Mikasas flashback happened a year prior to that. So Mikasa and Eren killed these guys, when they were 9 years old. They joined the military training at 12, trained for 3 years, so right now, they should be 15 years old.

Snk stands for the Japanese title. Shingeki no Kyojin. Literally means Attack on Titan. They're interchangeable Not much to comment on this time. Pretty straightforward episode on how Mikasa came to stay with Erens family. In do love it though. It's kinda like ThevWalking Dead, the Titans/zombies are scary, but humans can be the true monsters

Hanna was giving CPR to Franz, but if you look closely on the pull out angle, there's no bottom half to the man. Mikasa is still wearing that scarf years later, it's her material link to Eren. It's gonna be entertaining to watch one of you bully the other into "just one more" until we're getting 4-5 episodes in one drop LMAO. The show is a drug, you just have to know what happens next.

The "Emotional DAMAGE---" meme is applicable to this show so often. It's one of the best shows for making the audience truly FEEL what the characters do. The music and voice acting are both so incredible and Isayama's writing shines even more thanks to those.

Great reaction as usual. I’m so glad you guys are binging the show and enjoying it at the same time. Just a few pointers, once again, NOT spoilers: - SNK stands for 'Shinkgeki no Kyojin' which is the name of this show in Japanese. It somewhat translates to 'Attack on Tian’. - The girl that called Armin a loser is the same girl that asked Crista why she was helping Sasha by giving her food after Sasha’spunishment for eating a potato. You’ll learn her name later. She has short, brown hair that’s tied to the back in a low ponytail and freckles. - Not sure if you noticed this or not, but when Hannah was giving Franz CPR, it cut to a shot where Franz’s entire lower half of his body was missing. That’s why Armin was trying to get her to leave him and go somewhere safe because there was no point trying to save him now. - The house that the kidnappers took Mikasa to was a different house than the one they kidnapped her from. Eren was supposed to go back to the base of the mountain whilst Grisha called the Military Police, but instead, Eren went to go look for Mikasa and stumbled across her and the kidnappers in the forest.

Also Hannah and Franz are the couple we saw last episode, hugging, with Franz telling Hannah he'd protect her. It's not obvious in the anime due to censorship, but in the manga you can see Franz is missing his entire lower body and his intestines are spilling out. That's why Armin didn't even try to help, and told her it wasn't safe there. Hannah was so distraught that she was in denial about his death, even though he was missing half his body.

Back in episode one when we're first introduced to Armin, Eren asks "Can you stand, Armin?" and offers his hand to help him up. Armin looks at it, then looks down with a face of shame and says he can stand on his own. Here we see Connie do the same thing, asking if Armin can stand and reaching out his hand - you can see the look of shocked recollection on Armin's face as he once again stands on his own and apologises for "causing trouble". I love little moments in the show like these, as they're extremely subtle character building moments. Armin is one of my fave characters.

Hmm I don't think this spoils anything but I wanted to clarify something for y'all. MARQUIS is not a name. It's a title. There is ranks in nobility for example the lowest being baron, then viscount, count, marquis, duke, archduke(usually family/siblings of the king), and finally King/Queen. (sometimes if the kings mother is alive she is referred as Grand Queen/Queen Dowager)
