Travel and transparency
Added 2022-05-22 10:42:45 +0000 UTCSo let's start with transparency. It always annoyed me that I would have multiple wardrobe entries with the same clothes but a sheer or fishnet version. This can be seen best with the tights/socks and the form fitting tee and vest. What is essentially the same article of clothing taking up 3-4 slots. So I decided to do something about that to make everyone's life easier.

Now we have a nice little button that will cycle through different stages of transparency as well as fishnet variants. No more multiple entries for outfits. Does also mean that you can make the bimbo dress she is wearing a fishnet variant and it looks a little weird. But I will leave it up to you to decide what you like and not bother locking things out.
Now onto travel. Some time ago I made a post asking about how to travel around town and got a lot of feedback on the subject. The feedback consistently mentioned a world map and easier navigation.
Initially I didn't want to add a world map because I wanted the player to travel around manually and encounter random events. But that system was clunky and unintuitive as well as cluttering up the travel buttons.
So I decided to bite the bullet and add a 3rd option and that is having Sammy travel around using a world map only and remove manually walking around.

The artwork for it is very much work in progress. But basically opening the world map sends you to a map screen where you select your desired destination much like you have seen in many other games. From there, Sammy goes to the bus stop, waits for a bus, gets on, travels then gets off.
This actually opened up the door for me to have more travel events than I realised. I was avoiding this system because I felt it limited the random event chances, but it did the opposite and allows for more.

And if Sammy cant afford the bus, then she better have good shoes on because she is going to be walking. And all those quiet streets she will be navigating will offer a wealth of random events for her to encounter.
And finally you might notice in the screenshots a new icon on the top ribbon. Yes, it is an inventory (Icon art WIP). I managed to get it working pretty quickly so am very happy about that. But I still need to do the interface for it and item art so right now it is very ugly. I will leave it for another post when it is improved but I am very happy that code wise, it is basically done.
