[The Grand Library, Champion & Foundry Tiers] The Three Beggar's Tavern

Hello everyone and happy New Release Monday!

Today, I am releasing the 2nd map in the new Lothburgh series: The Three Beggar's Tavern.

Lothburgh is a new dark fantasy 5e setting by Lunch Break Heroes, and I've had the great honor of being asked to make the maps for it!

In this smog-choked industrial city, the roar of machinery drowns out reason, and the flicker of electric light is feared as much as it is revered.

Among the boroughs that make up Lothburgh, New Ashes stands out as the grimiest—a place where factory workers labor through long, punishing days to feed the ever-hungry machine of industry.
Crime festers, soot coats every surface, and the air is thick with despair.

But amidst the filth and shadows, places like The Three Beggars tavern offer a sliver of solace. A pint of something bitter, a whispered rumor, or a deal struck in the smoky gloom—hope, after all, is a currency still traded here.

Unlike some of my larger maps, this map is much smaller in scale, which allows you to use it as its own standalone location, which you can insert in just about any door on any of the city maps. In case you missed it, you can always use the streets map I made here or add this to your own campaigns.

I wanted the Three Beggar's to not just look like a dirty pub, but a dirty pub with character! Every inch of this map you'll find tons of details, including a fun little sign I created for this tavern.

This map is excellent for a tiny tavern, where you can feature bar fights, shady deals, or even investigate a missing persons case!

The drinks here are strong, though you might need to have a solid constitution if you're going to choose to eat here. I'd recommend avoiding the mystery meat though...

For my Grand Library Tier Patrons, you get the following with this release:

Starting May off with such a fun setting to work with, like Lothburgh, was a lot of fun. I'm very excited about the upcoming maps for this series,s and they have been a pleasure to work with.

Next, I will continue my journey to create maps to support the incredible CoS: Reloaded supplement created by DragnaCarta. This map will cover the frozen Twin Falls high in the Tsolenka Pass! Whether you're running the Reloaded guide or looking for a frozen, snowy map for your other campaigns, I've got you covered!

Later this month, I'll also be releasing the next installment for the Saltmarsh series, and I'm very excited to expand the town of Saltmarsh even further with a new location.

Thank you all for your continued support of my work. I cannot thank you enough but I'm certainly going to try!

Cheers Friends,

DM Andy

Yes! The Lothburgh project is very cool and I'm looking forward the physical book at some point in the future. I have another Lothburgh streets map planned this month which will focus on running street level encounters with plenty of rooftop space as well for a more dynamic encounter. Regarding your question, the spec for this map did not include a top floor since the Three Beggars is the bottom floor of a larger apartment building but I hope to create a series of interior locations that you can mix / match to use with any of the outer streets map or even connect with downstairs locations like this eventually. My goal is modularity as much as possible to increase the usage potential of each map.

This is amazing, I'm definitely going to follow along with this work as it is the right setting for a campaign I just started. Is there an "upstairs" for this map?
